You look better, beards are for bums
I think you're adopting the trial and error and posting on forums tactic here, before doing almost no study at all. Just stop, and read this:

http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/tutorials/tut_3.htm
http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autode ... n-3ds-max/ <- very good tut
Read that like it's the bible, only THEN start fucking around with bakings!
otherwise you'll waste your time with trial and errors and headaches that can be avoided if you give it the proper study.
Jesus, next time spend 30 seconds fixing your pics in PS! ![]()
Quote from SereniusDon't hate on Lightmass. It's pretty amazing. I'm sure CE3's GI beats it since it's in real time though.
CE3 GI is one bounce only tho (Can I even talk about this?
), whereas on Lightmass or The Beast, you can render various light bounces, having realistic color bleeding throughout your environments. But their not realtime, of course.
I doubt Lightmass is better than The Beäst
Yeah fair enuf. Does it need to be UT3? Can't it be UDK? That way you could at least use lightmass.
Meh.. if you can't have that awesome GI, no point in modding Mirror's Edge then!
imho, obviously.
Ordinary cameras don't have this:

I bought the game when it came out, I still have the case at home but my little brother lost the manual with the serial on it when I was still living in Portugal! ~_~
So, got it on steam, pretty cheap and I wanna play it again! I'm sure it will be an artistic inspiration injection again! ![]()
That's rather nice!
I played Quake4 not so long ago, and for some reason I loved it. I think I already said this here at mapcore a few months ago, but when Quake4 came out, I was such a Quake3 fan that I bashed it to shit for some reason. But it is a really neat game!
Hey man! ![]()
Not bad stuff!
I think it's a bit too noisy for my taste, most textures have way too much high frequency detail.
You need to work on your lighting also, and general art direction of it. Those yellow windows are way too bright, tone it down a notch, and the blue lighting is not helping to sell the steampunk feel. Not all color theory book tricks work with stylized environments such as steam punk.
I also think that it needs more mechanical stuff, and less architecture. I know it's pretty common and easy to bring up example, but look at Blade Runner. The pipes and mechanical stuff covering the buildings help a whole lot.
Which concept art are you using for direction on this?
Woa, I had no clue Mirror's Edge was moddable! ;O
I hope this is bullshit, seriously! I hope... this is... bullshit!!
I still get most of my games on retail, steam is way too fucking expensive. I only buy shit on steam when they have those special cheap discount occasions.
Example, CoD. get it on steam, you pay 60€! On amazon.co.uk, you pay 40€.
