Did you need to pay extra money for those in-game items? I really regret pre-ordering L4D2 for that stupid baseball bat. Everyone has access to it now?!
No, if you pre order Rage you get those extra items, that's all.

It's good to see someone using CE3!

But seriously, loose flash, and loose your face on the first menu.

Cool HP, but damn this is sooo much more compliacted than exporting shit in to UDK (or it just looks like it, becouse i never tried it)i have 2 questions tho:
1. what is that dummy ?(box in the middle of the bench)
2. why the hell you are making proxy's ? first i was thinking that this are for coolision, but after you've started making collision, i lost it there

i'm maya user, i assume these plugins are also available for Maya ?
ehh need to try this out in maya
You don't need a dummy, if you only want to export your asset ingame for the sake of screenshots or videos for portfolio, then just select the mesh and export, done.
But if you want to have collisions and LOD's along with your render mesh, then all these should be attached to a dummy, (for the sake of organization, since only the dummy gets exported) I thought I was clear about it!
Lemme know if you have any more questions.Proxys are collisions. They work for bullet collision detection, and player / NPC's collisions.

Oh yes it did. That's high, not very high, and even very high didn't look that amazing. It was the power of modding that really unleashed the game!
Remember this comparison from that config I did back in 2007?

tune in at 29 minutes for some Crysis 1 conversion gameplay.
Also, here's an actual unbiased comparison.

I think he's still taking care of the visa... it's a fun process!!

Yeah, I can find at least a couple of things broken on each of those screens!
Valve really doesnt give a shit about graphical quality.I cringed at some of the assets and areas on L4D2!

Very straightforward tut on exporting your stuff into the engine.
Enjoy, and drop some feedback if you will!

I read some horror stories about Red Dead Redemption too but it turned to be one of the greatest games ever.
I read some horror stories about LA Noir too but it turned to be a fairly good game.

Plus they can recycle Korean assets from the first Crysis, which is a very reasonable thing to do considering the tough business climate...
Well, Crysis is property of EA, and Homefront is property of THQ, so same assets could never be exchanged between projects. Even if they did, I doubt we would do that for characters... tiny props like cans or whatever, maybe, but characters? Never.

30 bucks? Really? FFS if you go to any hardware store you can get a piece of wood with better quality, twice that size and half the price. It might be because my dad is a carpenter, but I would never pay that much for something as simple as that when i could do it myself for a fraction of the price, and I'm not a particularly handy guy.
Most hardware stores will even cut the wood to any size you want for free, you just need to polish it (which is not that hard, just get a brush, a small can of polish, give it a couple of coats) and place it on the wall (hardware stores also sell L shaped supports, you just need a drill and some screws).
Dude, most people I know in this industry buy yogurts with plastic spoons so they don't need to wash them after, and you're suggesting them to buy and polish the wood of their desks? ahah, yeh.
People on this day and age don't give a fuck, it's all about commodity even if they have to spend a few more bucks on it.
