Tried it out for a min, super sleek interface, and so fast to boot/navigate Now I need to find a USB-bluetooth adapter to be able to use the wireless ps3-controller with the pc. This is awesome.

Oh? They support PS3 pads too?

Gave it a quick try here at work, the interface is perfect! Really nice and sleek.

Holy shit, you just bought my dream car...

This new Porsche 911-991 seventh generation is the most beautiful yet, definitely a great buy! And the dark exterior with the bright interior is exactly my favorite too. Did you get the Carrera 4s?

You must come pick me up in Irvine for a drive dude!

This reminds me, I must order a XBox pad from Amazon! Fuck yeah, I'm pretty stoked about this.

Now I just need to find a good long HDMI cable.

Well, yeah but now you have the support and a proper platform for that instead of working around issues that shouldn't be there in the fist place and "hack" a HDTV as your primary monitor on there, now you're gonna have a UI thought out for what you are doing.

This is actually very good news for me, as in the last couple years my gaming has been more and more heading towards the couch instead of on my desk since I already spend 9 hours a day on a desk.

If that's the case, why release shitty screens like that? I figured something was a miss. I can now defiantly see how compression would cause that. And the shot above, defiantly better, but its still sad Naughty Dog is subdued by PS3 exclusivity. I have the same problem with the Kill-zone games. They would make such great PC games.

This is a very retarded discussion, but be it... dude, those screenshots were not released like that, they were probably screengrabs of videos taken from someone on the internet, the picture I posted on the other hand, is much probably a direct released from Naughty Dog, it makes all the diference when showcasing shit like this, but hey, you can't control what people are going to do with your content on the internet as soon as it's out. I had people and websites sharing my work now and then, sometimes they crop it in crazy ways and they compress it to shit as well, I obviously don't have control over this kind of shit.

Also, you are being extremely narrow minded saying this should be open platform, if Uncharted 1/2/3 and The Last of Us were muli-platform they would probably look half as good. If you ever worked on multi-platform titles before, you know what I mean with this.

PS3 has such a different architecture in it's core, when releasing the same game on PC and XBox as well, the PS3 version always suffers! On the other hand... when developing exclusively for PS3 you have access to stuff you wouldn't otherwise, and there's a LOT more you can do with the console and the games look much sharper and overall better. Killzone, God of War and Uncharted would never be as good if they were multi-platform, think about that for a second!

Those are definitely MPG and JPG artifacts dude, a trained eye can see those shots are screencaps from a video because of the JPG-like compression and color banding.

It's obvious the PS3 doesn't have the raw power a PC has, but naughty Dog uses tillable textures on the majority of their stuff, everything looks super sharp when you actually play the game. (Talking about U2 and U3 here, which is the same engine as last of us) but here's a shot which appears to be directly from the engine: (720p with edge AA)

I loved the first CoJ back then, it amazed me almost as much as Doom 3 and Far Cry did, Bound in Blood is too Call of Duty like, although still a very good game, The Cartel got so many bad reviews I didn't play it, sorry dude!

From the shots, Gunslinger is looking totally rad! Great art, and great engine, will be keeping an eye on this, specially if the gameplay goes back to the roots of what made this franchise good.

Think I'm gonna have to go get those HD editions now.

    And yeah... please do!

I bought them and played MGS2 and MGS3, was going through Peace Walker in when I had to ship my shit here, but will resume it as soon as I have it again. Games look much better and smoother than the originals, some textures were even retouched a notch, specially in MGS3.

    That's amazing omg!

Loving the wet shaders too, they're very sharp, makes the overall image looks very photo realistic while still keeping a touch of a stylized image.

Interesting to see how the more open levels will play with sneaking, and adding vehicles will add even more variety. I think that's what this game is gonna be about, it will probably play more or less the same as MGS4 but with a lot more variety. It if it aint broken, dont fix it right.

Only thing missing from this game, is new maps for the defuse mode. I mean, yeah, the old ones work just fine and I really love them.. but c'mon.

Other than that, fuck me, Im loving this!
