I own about 10 seasons of South Park on iTunes and in general I consider myself a devoted fan of the show. I feel obliged to get this but I'm not really a turn based RPG kind of gamer...
...oh well.
They say this is actually more fun to watch than it is to play in a way, so get your wife to play it for you while you sip on a beer!

Thief developer Eidos Montreal laid off 27 employees today. Here's the full statement from their parent company, Square Enix:P
Yes it is true we've let 27 people go today, unfortunately it's something that every major studio has to do sometimes in order to ensure you have the right set up for current and future projects. It's never a nice thing to do but we are genuinely trying to offer as much support as much as we can. We're trying to re-locate as many people as possible into other roles here or at our other studios and we've been in touch several studios in Montreal to arrange a career day for those affected by this. We're very thankful for all their hard work and we sincerely wish them well.
What the fuck man... this shit needs to stop or this industry will implode.

That's a lot of props you had to do for such a small room
turned out really great! This! There's more props in here than it's needed to fill an entire level, lmao!

God damn I had to look twice at the finalized picture, I thought you were reposting the concept art. You absolutely nailed the concept, almost too well actually. This is one of those examples when something is so perfect it looses it's magic, if that makes sense at all? lol
Like, I see an immense achievement when it comes to execution with this piece, geo, textures, shaders and even the lighting is absolutely spot on, it's jaw dropping but there's nothing to it that makes me click and go "holy shit", and the weird thing is I don't exactly know why but I have an idea, it's probably because you didn't added your own flavor to this scene.
Being an game artist is about doing great art but also about putting your own genes into your art, you were more concerned into trying to make it just like concept art piece than letting your inner artist do some of the work, working with constrains is always good because you practice a lot but I would still love to see you do a reimagine of this scene instead of a 1to1 where the execution is perfect but we've already seen this thousands of times.
Overall, absolutely amazing piece, I really respect the amount of patience you had when making all that good quality art!
Also, couple more things, you used UDK right? Hop ingame, and use tiled shot to create a higher res super sampled screenshot for your final piece, it will get rid of jaggies and smooth out everything.
And while you're at it, you might want to brigten the picture a little bit and remove some of the crunched blacks, it's a bit too dark and definitely too contrasty which makes it harder to focus on the image since it becomes noisy. Also while you're at it tweak your presentation a little, ambient light is way too green, which is tipically never good (Rage I'm looking at you) make the ambient bluer (it will look more cyberpunk too), you might also want to introduce a bit more of a noticable gradient (probably warm on the left and transitioning to colder colors on the right / ambient side) so your eyes will focus on the brigher area and slowly slide to the right.
Here's a quick shitty test, I would need to acess the levels post process to do a decent job since it's so monochromatic but you get what I mean I guess

Don't know why someone is making such a long read about "why russia is entering Ukraine" - it's kinda simple. Putin is VERY fucking smart.

German chancellor Angela Merkel told US president Barack Obama in a phone call that after speaking with Russian president Vladimir Putin, she feared he may be “in another world.”
“She was not sure he was in touch with reality, people briefed on the call said. ‘In another world,’ she said,” the New York Times reported."

So could anyone clarify something to me? Why exactly is Russia fingering Ukrainian territory anyway? And why do they think they should / can?

Srsly, this is some motivational stuff man! I hope I can face it the same way you are if that ever happens to me. So thanks for the lesson of the day!!

I'd shed some light on this for you, the main reason why I'm an early adopter resumes down to: supporting the stuff you're passionate about.
Why do people pre-order games? Why do people buy shares of their favorite sports club? Why do people do anything before a popular opinion is even formulated?
It all comes down to whatever you're passionate for, you love that stuff so much you're almost grateful for the people that spend months and years working on that product and from past experience you know it's gonna be good so you put in your hard earned dollars in advance in a vote of faith.
I don't see how being an early adopter is a bad thing, spending money is good, it's good for everybody, for the economy and specially for us. If people are passionate about shit, let them vote with their wallets.
I felt a really good warm feeling when I bought a PS4 day one. I know I'm supporting a company that cares about the same stuff I care, games!
The same reason I felt that warm feeling again this weekend when I bought a WiiU. Nintendo is doing really bad, so I bought a WiiU and I also own a 3ds, it's obviously not the main reason I did, the games are, but knowing I'm also helping them it's a great feeling.
PS. The flip coin of this is: Why do people don't buy a game when they see the EA logo on it? Same reason, they're voting with their wallets, and good on them.

You're a fucking winner dude!
