Very excited myself! I hope I don't have to rely too much on outside FAQs to finish the puzzles ![]()

I think this will be really valuable. Can't wait for the release!

You should do what makes you happy. If working on any particular project is not that, then take a break. Sometimes we just need a break, duder. Then again, sometimes we also need to fully move onto other stuff.
Since you only get one life fuck it, do whatever you want!

The most memorable moment from Bioshock for me was that part when you're in the doctor's office and you turn around and get a scare as an enemy spawned behind you and is ready to strike. I get that it's just a jump-scare and kind of cheesy design, but it's stuck with me for years so it can't be all bad!
Of course moments like that don't work without tons of more cohesive passageways and sequences, which are definitely worth studying.

Not really. At least not in my opinion.
It's easy to make something that looks cliched (imagine how BF3 used to look back in the day), but even cliches like that often look great and absorb players
Not so great:

Can't believe I haven't played this yet, looks fucking incredible.
It's one of the best HL2 SP experiences for sure.

Well fake or not, he is right about Kelly Bailey making music for Valve again. He did leave but came back to them.
I think this was known before this article tho.
To me this was poor writing from a literary standpoint but def had some cool ideas: "Temperature is a factor too and reflects on a lot. For example if it is very cold, glass will become more brittle and easier to break, whereas if it is 700 degrees the metal will start to melt and the rubber will stick to the surface and melt down."

Hey, at least the actual GAME looks great :v

Did you guys read the last part about the singleplayer campaign? Doubt is being destroyed, hope is being rebuild. Just announce a full SDK for the PC crowd and we've got a winner!
Think they'd rather push Snap Map. When you don't give the community the same tools the devs used to me that's kind of console-y and insulting to the intelligence of the community.
Then again, I'm speculating that we will never get a real SDK. And Snap Map does look fun, but it's not going to be the genuine article the devs used and so it seems rather hand-holdy and middling for actual mods. More like the stuff Halo 3 used to have, fun for a few hours, at least.

Check the video for some new stuff.
Look man, I'm insanely hyped for this game, I see a lot of comments going like "uhhh, I see no innovation in gameplay!". The way I see it, old is the new gold. This is exactly what I wanted a Doom game to be, oldschool fast, no reload, demons everywhere just plain fun!
Totally agree. It looks like they actually sat down and thought this one through, not just "ok let's make a AAA shooter and call it Doom 4"
Been playing some Brutal DOOM lately, so this is gonna be sick.

I really love the look of the hell maps this time around, but I'm not feeling the particular clean look this scene is going for. This is all very hard to judge from a screenshot of course, but for this particular IP, I prefer the grittier look of what we saw before or from doom 3.

I actually think this is my favorite one. That gradient railing is so goddamn clever and simple but injects enough abstract weirdness. To me this is one of the best of the bunch, although the scale in it does seem kind of off?

I haven't seen the first film for 15 years and this was still way too familiar as far as I'm concerned. The art impressed me though.
