no that's not the point; Jade Raymond in a panel on GTTV couple years ago basically explained that to sell at full price you need a certain amount of content (read: play hours) so that's what they do. Then you have the trail of DLC to prevent the bleeding caused by used games market.
This problem has been caused by gamers that kept asking "how long is the game". I mean, they are teenagers, I kinda understand why that's their concern, they don't have the experience/culture to make a distinction and demand for quality, they want time sinkers.
So I don't hold it against Ubisoft for doing this bloated and repetitive games: they are catering to their audience. I don't think that the target they have in mind for AC is us, the 25 year older.
Also it's not just them, any MMO is a time sinking repetitive pile of crap.
This is a pretty interesting post, and very true I think. It is pretty easy to tell when you're playing the games, not that I do very often...

Congratulations man, I'll be sure to catch the game, since Flipsid3 is also one of my favourite teams besides Na`vi and Gambit.
Do you have any info on if the teams are going to practice the map more seriously for strategies or executes, or will most of it come down to improvisation and aim duels?
I've been told blad3 and bondik play the map a fair bit, hopefully the lounge guys are ready for some stratz!

So the very first professional showmatch on Santorini is happening this thursday! Between two European teams, Flipside tactics and CSGO Lounge.
If you're into betting, you can bet on the game on lounge

Ironically as much as he rips this series to shreds, hopefully the developers can learn from such direct feedback. Only question: can they replace these flawed gameplay decisions with ones that are any better?
After such a video I would be surprised to see more of the same, this one really blew up!

The bending palm trees is because some maps have higher wind values and they stick so when Santorini loads it uses those wind values. Dumb, I know.

Man, to me he really takes this franchise apart. I noticed a lot of these bad habits in the very first game, sad to see it's only continued from thereExternal Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Nuke has been my favourite map since I started playing this game, only tried the new one once (and on a shitty computer with a shitty mouse as I'm in LA unfortunately for my CS enjoyment
), but it seems REALLY busy and overdesigned imo. Don't know what you guys think of it, but it seems really cluttered to me. Maybe it just takes getting used to though.I had this impression at first too, but it fades away a lot as you become more familiar with the new design. Give it a few more chances and I think you will like it more

Finished in a single sitting of 4 hours. Good game with great voice acting and a nicely paced story that really lures you in. By mid way through you'll be very engrossed in the plot with what happens. It kept me completely hooked and wanting to find out more about what was going on. However, with all that happens to you in the game, the ending I found to be very anti climactic. First 3 quarters very good, last 3rd not so great. Gotta say the voice acting is really good too, if it wasn't then the game would utterly fall on its face.
But I'll tell you what this game and it's story telling style really reminded me of and that was System Shock 2. You encounter no one (bare some silhouettes, briefly, early on) and your only source of company comes in the voice of Dr. Polito aka Shodan omg spoilers.
I really enjoyed it as well.
The lack of character animation and physical presence of other people is bit of a drag on the realness of the story (maybe spoiler, but really, you didn't think this indie game would have fully animated characters did you?). But the best moments in this game are so strong that you forget about it's flaws for a long time

Seeing articles like this makes me really happy! We put a lot of effort so in the heat of battle you can quickly identify and communicate the different areas of the maps to your team mates. http://onehitclub.com/2016/02/24/map…eir-importance/
This was a really interesting article. I definitely need to think more about this when I play Overwatch.
One thing that stuck me is the complexity of these callouts. In CS it's more like this:

and in TF2 most of the maps feel to me more like:

but other times I play Overwatch and the chokes are very confined and don't feel overwhelming at all.

can anyone get the actual map .vmf working? I'm not into prop farms

I would also say the benches look a little bit off. Not designed enough, what about some padding in the center and some wood finish? Just a thought
I agree with Moroes, it's just the finer details where the scene lacks IMO because it's overall very nice -

Something like Ori in the Blind Forest or Firewatch, a little bear cub story

Pretty cool.

Looking very promising!
There's nothing more satisfying than pleasant greybox screenshots. Keep it up.
