(is hullbreach still alive?)Good luck with recruitment, this mod will be the top dog around the source engine for a long time. It sort of reminds me of hostile intent, which is good.

Is HB still alive? That really depends on how you define alive. Does the team still want to work on it? Yeah. Is work actually being done? Not really I don't think it'll see the light of day, unfortunately.

As far as Insurgency goes, we all appreciate the kind words, I think everyone on the team has been suprised by the number of applicants and the words of support we've recieved from the community. We'll do our best not to dissapoint

  • Final Fantasy players here?

I played it for a while, unfortunately the economy system was fairly annoying, the game was a tad buggy and on the whole it just wasn't a ton of fun to play. Not to mention half the player base is Japanese and you feel like a tourist in Japan just playing it. Things might have gotten better since I played it years ago but from what I remember the Japanese players treated English speakers like garbage (JP ONLY!!!! is a pretty common sight).

The upside is the combat system has some pretty cool features like an advanced combo system that (when you could get a good enough group of people) was deffinitely one of the strongest parts of the game.

Can you specify what HUD Design contains and what Web-Design Contains? In HUD-Design i may pretty much suck on the technical part but think i am up to the graphical part and in web-design i could do pretty much everything as long as it doesn't mean to code a whole new cms ^^

HUD design would be graphical, we're looking for people with experience in programs like Illustrator. Web Design specifics someone can go over in detail, but first we'd of course like to see examples of work to see what you can do.

This mod consistently blows my mind, brilliant work. One thing to watch out for would be the lighting, while you have a huge beautiful canvas you seem to making fairly boring use of it. Throw in some more colors

is it possible to get to know some of the possible props, that need to be modelled ?is it lots of smaller stuff, or really complex stuff like highdetailled vehicles and whatnot ?

what kind of props are we talking about here

Vehicles are a rarity. Most of the time it'll probably be medium sized things, imagine furniture or architectural features etc. Most of our mappers can model so you'd probably be doing fairly detailed props but at the same time nothing unreasonable or silly.

Oh by all means! We're in need of talented texture artists

Now that Insurgency is in final development before the first public release, we are seeking dedicated, hard working individuals that possess a keen interest in the concept of the project; who are able to work at a rapid pace. If you feel that you meet these requirements, and find Insurgency compelling, please contact me. Insurgency is a free total conversation of the game Half-Life 2, so obviously we can't offer you any money.

The team behind Insurgency is by all means a professional and respected team within the modding community. If you are interested in working on a team where you can not only gain a good opportunity to improve your portfolio and work with a wonderful team on a highly anticipated project, but also be watched closely by professionals in the industry, do not hesitate to contact recruitment at [email protected]

    Insurgency is currently recruiting:

    - Webdesigner

    - Prop modellers

    - Texture artists and/or HUD artists

    - Level designers (Croatia campaign)

    Thank you!

    Familiar looking textures oog

Good work, but its a corridor. I think you're capable of something a bit more ambitious.

The idea of being online with other people enacting, even if obviously a flawed representation, of a conflict is in my view far more fun than jutting through yet another generic gamey-feeling shooter. Shit I wouldn't complain about breathing and blinking buttons so long as it was intuitive. All the more challenge.

Besides, if you want a simple romp through WW2 you shouldn't have a hard time finding one

From what I gather its a single player game with segments of the game, say like if this was HL2 one of the chapters being multiplayer.

Perhaps the narrative sections would be single player but when you get to the action sequences with armies or squads, all mp.

You know I love you duder but I aint feelin it.

Got a few words for you make of them what you will:

    -Waterfall

    -Overgrowth

    -Vines

Overall the map is just super simplistic and not too impressive because while your brushwork is solid... its literally just arch brushwork. You need some variety and a theme. You've got hyroglyphic type symbols with Italian mural things... it just feels really incoherent.
