The whole thing just comes off creepy, and combine that with the stupid camera that never stops watching you, this whole device is pretty much an unmerited middle finger to consumers. So all this liscensing shit benefits Microsoft and game devs more, but what exactly is the benefit to consumers?
Steam created a ton of value, not the case here. People will still buy it, but this whole system has simply become a really effective marketing tool for the Playstation 4 by this point

i am definitely annoyed by console exclusives. But whatever, i won't blame this game in particular, it looks amazing and I want to hear what you guys think of the multiplayer when you get around to it
-
more like they're just announcing a playstation 4 and now this is an exclusive for the playstation fucking three, in other words telling people that don't already own a ps3 they don't want their business, cause nobodys gonna go out and buy a ps3 at this point unless they're an ass

hmm fuck I guess this will never end up on PC?

Might as well continue the trend of romantic couple pictures.

I've subscribed and favorited this, I really admire your work ethic and I hope you'll keep on it. Nice to see you promoting your stuff and getting the word out there, keep on it and stick to it.

Nice looking map, I had the chance to run around it today and came away with a positive impression of the work that went into the graphics. Haven't gotten a chance to play it unfortunately, shame about that.
Good job Skybex, nice to see you and keep it up!

farmville is nowhere near as cool an intellectual property as angry birds, either way
-
I agree, pretty much over Halo at this point.

this looks really really good... any reviews?
-
concept definitely does sound cool. intricate game from the sound of it
-
damn, that was a sick trailer...

so to end the speculation, it was a very generous promotion. money is not something i like to talk about, but i feel obligated to say that for me, it's a big help in my life.
bottom line is go make maps, do yhour passion, make some art, good things will happen.

The most important ones I've learned recently:
copy, then "paste special" to paste between maps and get the object in the exact same location. Makes a huge difference in speed.
the "eyeball" buttons, to hide objects. I seriously recommend exploring the various ways these are useful, they really open up the tools substantially.
If your verts get "split" and become wild, you can select the individual verts of the box in the 3d view, which allows you to avoid overlapping selection problems.
Quote from BanJaxeYou can press X in the 3D view to get handles that allow you transform and rotate in 3D. Useful for getting props at the exact right angle which is tricky to do using the 2D views.
Interesting, hadn't seen that one.
The holding of z in the 3d view is definitely a big deal for movement in that view.

Of course how colors mix is a bit of a subjective topic, but to me the orange is quite harsh for the scene, and the reds also clash (although they're a bit more subtle). I would go with a more yellow (similar to the sign) and test that. It's difficult in such a relatively complicated scene to define exactly teh solution to this issue without goign hands on with it, but my lighting philosophy is always really simple:
1) 3 colors maximum
2) one cool color, one warm color, one "x-factor" that is used pretty sparingly
following this format i'd say to keep the green, keep the light yellow, and find a third color that can saturate the scene in spots. possibly the blue, but it's a bit strong where it's used, it doesn't feel like an x-factor but more like a third player, which is making the scene a bit busy.
here's some refs you might find useful

looks nice minos but the colors aren't working for me at all, there's no chemistry going on there IMO
