I know it's absurd. But at this point I don't think I'd want it any other way. Bring it on...I'll play that shit. This is why video games are awesome. You can have dogs bite helicopter pilots in the neck!!!! AWESOMENESS!!!yeah, I mean, I can dig it. but when you see some of the awesome art that went into this, and the writing isn't SOOOO awful (ok it's corny, but i can dig it), it's a shame to see them just veer right off into CRAZYTOWN. then again, we'll see when this formula stops working for them. let the games begin!

Quote from ThrikIf anything, the main thing GTA has been needing for a long time is more stuff to do within the cities. There's something that feels so weird about these massive, sprawling cities that have like 15 buildings you can enter. I know the missions have special areas but it'd be nice if more of the city felt like it's more than a shell and the missions simply took place in it.
To be fair, GTA4 did improve things a lot here, but there's still much further it could go. At this point I want more depth rather than more scale, so I'm kind of happy to see that while the map is clearly huge they haven't tried to get overly ambitious and do three cities like in San Andreas (which if I remember correctly each had like two buildings in).
BTW, my fondest memories of San Andreas were all the countryside shit and some of the crazy missions that went on out there. The crazy hippie living in the forest... amazing. Hoping for lots of that in here rather than endless city shit.
that is true about the weird feeling in the cities. the hard part for me would be to think of ways to actually fix that... i remember the airport in vice city, barricading it against the cops. that kind of stuff would be pretty sweet
*heavily armored dog leaps twenty feet in the air to bite helicopter pilot in the neck*
just when you thought call of duty literally could not become any more braindead *clunky spacesuit guy whips out a rifle in space*
shit seems pretty big to me. dissapointing that the actual city is the same size as the gta4 city though, maybe twice that big woudl have been nice. obviously as a developer its MUCH easier to make wilderness than dense urban landscape
It has absolutely nothing to do with fearing change and everything to do with the fact that Rick is right and you're hesitating to take his feedback
I really like the colors, maybe you could add in some more reds, but the biggest issue I see is the squareness of the geometry

"We expect lifetime sales of GTA V to surpass $1.5 billion at retail, assuming a multi-platform launch. We also believe the game could end up becoming one of the top 5 entertainment brands of all time."
This is gonna be a crazy last 3 episodes...
this was just an absolutely joyous read. god I love it
hahahahahhaha. that is pretty cool. its borderline something rockstar would do on purpose
Shots look great ![]()
I really like what I saw in-game from this map, as well.
That post went from epic to depressing really fast ![]()
Weirdly I agree the game doesn't seem that compelling, but the trailer was pretty cool. Interesting "second bad guy" in the anonymous-style guy. Probably wont buy the game still ![]()
