I might actually buy this one. Only thing is I never enjoyed piloting the vehicles in Battlefield, they always felt super awkward to me. The massive infantry combat is so tight tho

What’s the deal with pc parts right now? Just totally out of stock because of COVID/crypto and the situation isn’t resolving? I want to upgrade soonish

It looks interesting. I like it when they don’t shy away from the inherent gloom of the setting and the theme. Some parts look a little funky/jank, but I think I’m a customer.

You mean you didn't like the five minute conversation on top of a burning wooden building? I thought that was clever and thoughtful writing. I was also really invested in finding "ROSSEEEEEE"

Refunded. Really one of those worst games I've played in years. Lumpy, uneven, terrible gameplay, worse puzzles, dumbass, goofy characters and a true "nothing" plot. Just so little to recommend it by except for the environment art, which is only occasionally inspired and often just bland.
My expectations were super high for this after the RE2 remake, which was absolutely fantastic.

Imagine watching this and thinking the remake should be PG13

Watched another one of Adam Curtis' gems on Amazon Prime. This one is about how we gave away control to machines and adopted theories that see everything and everyone as just agents in a system, a system that supposedly can be tweaked to try to achieve stability. But as history and science shows, nature isn't stable and is constantly changing and human psychology is inherently chaotic. Attempts to control them, even if well intentioned, often lead to catastrophes in the past. Anyways, nice history lesson with amazing footage from the past. No one cares about well designed video games anymore fellas, the new resident evil is literally a cut scene. Come on, this thing can render an endless desert with sixty trillion polygons.
As far as Source 2, I’m having a lot of fun but if you’re not render-farming and making playable levels for it you *do* have to render them for fifteen hours. So there is a massive technology gap.
UE5 might hassle the designers but every other discipline was already working with outside programs so…
tldr Should they steal the brush tools and hotspot stuff? Yes of course. I can’t argue with their priorities though, they solved some big fucking problems and the performance looks totally legit

I don't think they're too worried about brushes dawg

Game over

Spoiler This game is so talky and not scary at all. And they cranked the silliness to 11. What a downgrade from the RE2 remake

You weren't kidding!
Spoiler
I never played RE7 so when I started shooting my gun a lot in the beginning I got kinda pissed and thought "this is whack". But then they slowed the pace down to virtually nothing, which worked super well to keep me engaged. Overall it's clear this is going to be a well designed game even if it's really "loud" at moments.
The constant vistas of the Castle are so captivating, I'm fully on board for that shit!

Watched The Sound of Metal. really good movie. i went into it knowing nothing and would recommend that others do the same, it's not like most movies and the performances are really, really exceptional.

I think it can be hit and miss. If devs try too hard for scares then it feels forced. It's gotta come naturally so gonna toot my own horn and say subnautica is scary because we never intended for it to be.
I agree, Subnautica is scary. Being underwater is just terrifying conceptually.
In terms of being defenseless, I don’t really like Amnesia-types. That whole “hide from scary monster” is unplayably tedious to me. For some reason Jeff from Alyx didn’t bother me even though he fits the mold, I guess because they clearly explained to players that he reacts strongly to sound and it’s not an entire game of that gameplay.
