I don't think retirement will really exist in the future except for the very old. I think the vast majority will have to work more years than they do now.

Maybe we can organize a time to play together?

Agreed. Looks pretty damn cool.

A 90% finished remake of CS_747, was told the subject matter was probably too violent/controversial so I don't see myself returning to it

A map I was working on from the past, was pretty close to being finished but the optimization was still a bit of an issue and I had no 3D skybox in it yet. Lighting really needed some work on all of interior areas as well, which are not shown [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_razz.gif]

Old Neotokyo Stuff I left when I started working at Threewave. I really want to find all of the other NT map stuff I was working on. So many files to go through. [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_confused2.gif]

According to the dude who posted that second screenshot on Valve Time, the powerpoint is from 2011.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Now things get interesting.

I dig the colors the most, very good colors actually. Rich

What if I told you... those were all brushes?

They're meshes, but put those same meshes in CSGO and it'd look pretty damn similar. I'm guessing the revolution is on the tools side.
We've hit peak graphics, everybody. Go back to storytelling and all that.

Honestly, I think you could build something like that right now in Source no problem, funny enough. Just would require a dedicated artist, same as always.

Looks like mostly meshes.

Hmm well that looks great but I really think you should increase the lightness on the SpookyDoobyDoo-maps, maybe turn up the graphics on level 4, decrease the amount of compression on the socks in the second picture.
Still really looking forward to the game, though.

Too late to invest all your savings in bitcoins I think, might be a good idea to buy some if you have excess money laying around and want to take a bet, but don't expect to ever make the same profit early adopters did. Think of it this way. If you bought 500 bitcoins at 5 cents and the price rose to 5 bucks, you paid 25 bucks and made 2500 bucks, a 1000% profit. But if you buy 500 bitcoins today at $806, it would cost you 403.000. Let's say it reaches the last peak of 1200 again and you decide to sell off, that's a mere 33% profit. Still super good, but not as good as the 1000% or so gains from early adopters and look how much money you had to invest in something so risky.
Anyway, in general bubbles look like this:

Bitcoin last year when it reached its historical peak (so far):

Of course this is just my opinion and I'm no expert in bitcoins, but considering all that information I wouldn't put ALL my savings into bitcoin, or at least I'd wait until it crashes to its mean value

Wow, awesome post.
Who says MapCore can't handle serious content?

WIN!
That looks awesome!
