Again negativity towards the people making the games themselves I agree is a bad thing, but I have no issue with people disliking a game or making commentary that they feel it's pretty crassly derivative and just plain boring, as far I'm concerned that's fair game.

And as you mentioned level design, obviously it's difficult to critique the level design from my standpoint, other than to say that graphically this game isn't visually as impressive as, say, Evolve.

I totally recognize that most people are psyched about this game. I want to check back in 1 month and see if any of you are still playing it. I strongly doubt it. But now I want to make a PERSONAL LIFE MISSION of mine, to play the game and tell you if I still feel that way. Because I don't hate the people making the game, at all. I just feel that there is a duty in art to do new and exciting things and this doesn't float my boat personally. In fact, I'm irked by it.

So I should applaud them for setting the bar low? They did COD+Mechs and apparently there is an audience for that. Cool, I don't respect that artistic decision at all.

Man that's a bit harsh. It's definitely good fun. I was not sold on the videos but I'm enjoying it in-game.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I don't think I would at all, and judging by the fact that its an Origin/XBONE exclusive, I'm not sure how I would ever get a chance to test that theory. Very little positive to say about it! So I'll let you guys discuss it without my bias

Actually, I think this game won't do all that well. I think it should be a success, but it won't do COD numbers because at this point COD is really like Madden or some other "bro title", 24-40 year old men just buy it do be part of the hip fad. I'd say long odds Titanfall becomes the next COD because it's sort of an uncomfortable mix of COD's ridiculously generic gameplay + mechs. Maybe I'm misjudging the public, but I think they'll stick with COD #9000000000000000000000000

I find it ridiculously disappointing that Respawn formed as an entirely new studio with the ability to make any game they wanted, and they chose to make Call of Duty + Giant Mechs. That's boring.

I think the "simplest possible connection" is pretty appropriate here. Stick with it IMO

I think Ali is already a bit awkward and "twisty" as is. It needs to really be dialed in and focused and more pure angles the better.

I honestly love the new gun. It's entire purpose is to get an early round pick and it's very good at that job

This image suggests there will be 8 returning maps, but it's not clear what the number of new maps will be. I do hope there will be a bunch of new maps in, because there has definately been some high quality maps released over the past months.

Probably 8 new and 8 old, I guess

You know, I wasn't going to comment, but I agree.

It sounded like he was out of breathe on stage, which could have been nerves, but quite frankly I worry he's not taking care of himself. Love that guy. You can be the smartest guy in the room (and we all know Gabe is) but you better get your health shit in order IMO

It's kind of a de-rail but it was to the point where it was hard to ignore watching the video
