The first two screenshots look excellent, when you start introducing more colors it gets a little muddled. Keep it dual tone (white +green) then introduce one very deliberate, very intentional color either via lighting or something else. Then I think you'll have an incredibly strong visual

(third and fourth screenshot = too many muddled, conflicting colors)

It really did turn out great in the end. What is your next project? Will you make more Unreal stuff?

Can anyone point out where the map uses Chinese characters? That's my bad.

Seriously Shawn, you get so much praise that most people would turn into arrogant assholes and you're already an American

But here you are, sharing, giving advice, writing articles, etc. So props for keeping your feet on the ground.

On top of that, I don't think you make maps. You make art.

if I was the genius who made Season in the first place I'm sure I'd be arrogant about it, but that was Ted I'm just grateful I got to work with him and he was so helpful makin shit and bein a bro. The luck I've had with collaborators in CS:GO has been ridiculous: 3DNJ, kikette, Volcano, penE, Ted. bunch of all stars, you could build a pretty badass studio with that amount of raw talent... its nutty if you stop and think about it. i just feel blessed and lucky.

I guess this is the downside of taking so many risks, it might take 2-3 sequels to properly iron out this hide and seek game mechanic. Damn, well it looks visually gorgeous at least.

This is a brilliant idea, I think you should tweak the readability of the text though, it's really hard to make out the phrase when you're looking at it. Simpler definition on the letters and better borders would probably solve the issue, I think you should keep working on it because it's a great concept

I was at least expecting them to show the entries, I mean we had to sit around watching some guy trying to double jump around his map. I was waiting to see everyone's great work.

    NOPE.

"Maybe we will remember to send a t-shirt to some guy who bothered with this." Was basically what I took away from it.

    Lame!

Man you really need to have a thick skin for this shit. I suppose you can't expect the average gamer to apply more reasoning than 'that sux' or 'thats amazing!!!' though

The reskin looks very nice and is exactly what kind of map CS:GO needs just now.

It's fucking stressful I'm not even gonna lie. I'm not talking about the content of messages at all, good or bad, positive or negative, just interacting with 1000's of people on forums is pretty stressful haha. Gotta meditate hard on those times cuz it'll stress ya out.

Yeah it's great that you're starting to look at your work a bit more critically and see ways to improve it, screenshots are a solid way to do that. Keep it up.
