I had this on one of my map's before and I think I fixed it by simply deleting the displacement. Sorry I can't be more helpful as this happened to me quite a long time ago.

I remember that floor texture with the cables running across from Hard Rain.

Amazingly quick browser.

-
I don't think you need to worry about optimisation considering how small the map.
-
I loved the frame with the guy suffering from computer age. "HURRY UP DAMMIT!"

-
My only criticism is the cliffs which ring around the entirety of the map. It looks repetitive and breaking them up would definitely bring the visual quality up a notch.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Much appreciated.
Quote from ErraticWow, looks great. Awesome setting. Snow looks a little untouched though, no tracks or dirt :monocle:
Thanks. In response to the lack of tracks, the area hasn't been used for many months and I still have to add some snow in some places cause it's a little odd that everything else is blanketed in snow whilst somethings have no snow at all.
Quote from KungFuSquirrelPsycho, that third shot is the real deal. Good stuff all around, but that one totally won me over.I think something missing for the zombie-infested area is some red-splattered snow and a little more chaos. You've got bits of it here and there but I think in particular red on the white snow would give you a really cool look and help break up the natural grey that comes with a snowy concrete level.
MANY THANKS! I still need to add some detail to the ground and the level does look a little grey , so I decided to have a little play around in Photoshop with the Saturation...

Hopefully I'll be able to achieve the same effect in-game using Color Correction.

Not really. It's very easy for people to sneak behind Snipers in Arena mode because there's no risk of being taken out by respawning players.

Quote from Thrik
lots of words
I very rarely visit anything other then the level-design board and I'm sure other people don't pay interest to some of the other WIP boards as well. You could merge them all into one, single "Work In-Progress" board and everybody who visits them will be able to see textures, models, levels and this will probably lead to a bit more activity.

Just a quick question regarding the blend texture. Are you getting a compile error like "Material NATURE/BLENDGROUNDTOGRASS007 uses unknown detail object type tf_forest_grass!"?
I ask this because I can't get the lovely grass sprites to appear in-game and I don't seem to able to see them in the screenshots either.

New themes and fonts? Those are unnecessary additions.

I remember getting my current mouse. I unplugged the old mouse and plugged the new one into the same USB port, booted the PC up, and it wouldn't get past the BIOS screen. I tried plugging the mouse into a different USB port and, voila, it worked flawlessly.

As far as I remember then news page hadn't been updated for months and I'm sure a lot of people went straight to the heart of Mapcore anyway.

Steam is so random sometimes. Everybody in the chat room is shouting, "IT'S OUT! IT'S OUT!", so I decided to launch the game. It starts to update and 2 minutes later I'm in the game. I go to create a server with Lumberjack and..."What is this?". Steam decided to download TF2 whilst I'M PLAYING THE BLOODY GAME.

Owns the shit out of Hammer in terms of intuitiveness.
