hen the world's problems would be solved. but look at how many times throughout history that has happened. being the change you want the world to see is all fine and dandy, yet it doesn't help if you're a small minority of people.

Well, I personally have a somehow different view on that problem anyway, namely the situation when the great majority dearly wants a change but is too tired and unhopeful, maybe to some degree even oppressed and scared, which is the case in Bulgaria and other Balkan countries for example. And it will not change until, from the bases of the Mafia, an easily externally manipulable upper class crystallizes in 40-50 years. Of course, that's an issue a lot more far-reaching than moral vegeterianism for example.

Yeah btw those politicians are just all a bunch of comedians, liars and thieves who just want power; i don't see why i should care, let them just do whatever they want with the economy of the world and of my country.

i didn't say that, but my blood starts boiling whenever i watch anything that has to do with politics. at least they can't make a nuclear armageddon happen at this point, so ill be content with the situation until further notice.

You are content with the situation because you can live your life more or less peacefully and not in poverty

Why has nobody posted anything in this thread yet? Are you all fond of egomaniac neoliberalism? I for one find that kind of stuff interesting. I'm a little confused though, the Wikipedia page of the Yes Men group says the film was released in 2009, IMDB and the movie's page shows 2003.

Also, "Désolé, cette vidéo n’est plus disponible." "Sorry, this video is not available anymore" hmm

In a recent article for Offworld, Jim Rossignol writes about how the experiences offered by games are broadening as they become more familiar and more popular among researchers and educators. He mentions Korsakovia, a Half-Life 2 mod which is an interpretation of Korsakoff's syndrome, a brain disorder characterized by confusion and severe memory problems, and makes the point that games (and game engines) can provide interesting and evocative experiences without the constraint of being "fun," much as books and movies can be appreciated without "fun" being an appropriate description.

Intarseting. Anyone ever heard of that mod?

At least as I've heard, ATI/AMD are usually the ones providing unusual, non-standard, usually buggy implementations of certain extensions/functions in DirectX/OpenGL, so. *shrugs*

actually the first sonic 3d game (back in the 90s as well) was pretty damn decent.

Yeah, the first Sonic: Adventures on the Dreamcast was just as good as the "old" 2D ones on the Megadrive. Haven't played any of the later 3D Sonic games though, so I can't judge, but I heard a lot of bad things about them.

In 1989 we finally managed to fight the communist and which led to end of Soviet Union and helped Berlin Wall to collapse.

On a related note: Hurray for 20 years of corruption, inequality, collapse of education and infrastructure, inflation, mafia and criminality boom in Bulgaria (and other countries), now that you are free to do that.

    EDIT: And shitty yellow newspapers.

So, anybody went to see it?

It is, definitely, one of QT's special films. What impressed me the most though is that many scenes could just as well be from an European movie - not because they also speak (real) German, French and some Italian in the movie (they even got Till Schweiger and the guy from Die Fetten Jahre Sind Vorbei), but the pace, some situations the characters are put into could be those of a French movie for example There's nonetheless enough American action and exaggeration (like the last scene where

, still well made though) and some awesome black humour (but not enough imho^^). Despite that I'd give this movie a 5 out of 6, it's still a movie that's totally worth the money (in my case 16 CHF)
