Good stuff, man! Some really cool shapes going on in the Season remake but I think the red in the "labs" makes the area a bit too sci-fi/techy but I'm sure there's plenty of experimentation left for the look.

The Grace stuff looks nice but I'm a bit worried about the maneuvrability of that displacement terrain.

So, I've decided to give the game another try despite my disdain for the changes to stealth. I'm still pretty unhappy with it, but the level design for the new heists seems to make stealthing more feasible. Unfortunately older maps don't support the new stealth setup well, so missions like Framing Frame are now such a pain in the ass to do that no one really plays it anymore. Since it's obvious Overkill has no qualms with drastically changing the game post-release, I'd like to see them revisit the level design for older maps that were intended to be stealthed and update them to make maneuvering around guards and cameras easier.

Went ahead and bought the latest DLCs since they were on sale. I've only tried Election Day once so far, but I love Shadow Raid. Not so much the guys who show up in the chopper (that was unnecessary) but overall an awesome mission.

Hey Dave, I'm sorry you aren't enjoying things fully. Here, have a trailer with Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad Gus).

How playable is the game atm? Zombie movement, spawning, netcode, stability? Last time I played it felt that SA might become a perpetual beta.

I've loved everything that Remedy has made so far, so I'm going to almost blindly trust them with this one too. So far it seems like they've been somewhat evasive in terms of describing what the actual gameplay will consist of tho. But yeah, time manipulation is something that's been done way too little in games, so more of that, especially with these kind of production values, is very welcome.

Maybe they'll leave the gameplay until the last minute; Alan Wake style.

Keep in mind that the company has been traded for many, many years. The company is just listed at NASDAQ OMX now instead of Aktietorget.

Finished this just now and I must say that while I enjoyed my time with the game, it is definitely not perfect.

    The good stuff:

    • Story. I was surprised. It's not the best story, but there was enough gravity, emotion and suspense to keep me interested.
    • Style. The alternate history nazi world order was very well-realized (environments, enemies etc).
    • Blaskowicz. This man's man was tough as nails but still human and relatable. I loved hearing his gravelly, yet surprisingly reflective, comments.
    • Gameplay. Overall, it was fun to shoot nazis.

    The less good stuff:

    • Stealth. I felt that stealth was pretty gimped and it wasn't really what I was looking for in this game anyway (even though stealth is part of Wolfenstein's original legacy I suppose).
    • Weapons. I felt that the game was terribly conservative in it's arsenal. Where were all the overpowered meganazi-guns? The Kraftwerk and the laser gatling gun were really dull to use. And I didn't like the movement speed slowdown that came with the latter.
    • Enemies. There was so much unused potential here. Deathshead could've pretty much conjured up any enemy imaginable but they decided to keep things fairly conservative. Would've really liked more weird nazi experiments instead of the current "bigger guns, heavier armour" enemy evolution that's in the game.

I think you should consider doing one of two things before going off the deep end.

    A. Work with finance/accounting/producing at an established games company.

    B. Learn how to produce game content as an artist, designer or programmer at some level.

Learning as you go is incredibly expensive if you are the wallet.

Why is no one saying anything about this? You buy a game, only for a few months later to have portions of it removed for pitiful reasoning. I'm done. Fuck the games industry.

I think it comes with the territory (for good or worse) now that games are seen as evolving titles instead of just static, boxed releases. Just about any change of any game can be criticized if you apply this reasoning. I agree, however, that it seems like a bad move.

I actually really liked LTS. Gave the game more of a tactical vibe as lives/titans are so finite. Like you, I haven't played for a while. It's a great game and I can see myself going back to it at any point but right now my "game of choice" is CS:GO and that is hogging most of my time.

Saw it today. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood but I thought it was pretty meh. It didn't have the playful and over-the-topness of Pacific Rim and didn't really fill that void with anything else. To me, lots of 'muricans standing in a mission control room talking about how to haphazardly nuke shit doesn't count as interesting dialogue.

Some scenes were really eye-catching though.
