Everything looks good except maybe the A-site. I think it may land too much on the sci-fi side of things. I think it's the floor especially which is very tricked out. Also, those chairs and lab "desk"-things are gonna be potentially disrupting for gameplay. The chairs for their clunkyness and the lab desks because of their slightly awkward shape (they aren't a simple box, you can see through them diagonally it seems) and their wall-spammability (are they properly spammable?).

Just started watching Ray Donovan. It's good stuff so far!

Well, if there are any problems I believe they are directly related to shoe-horning the Y into Rise.

In all seriousness, I do think Crytek have taken a few weird turns at times. The vision to wholly transition into free-to-play didn't sit right with me but, luckily, it seems like they aren't really moving towards it anymore (or?). In any case, I hope that the rumors are off and that CryCore is safe.

Here's a simple gameplay video which I just recorded of Door Kickers and it's the replay of a mission. Basically, you plan how your troopers move, which angles they should cover and when etc. A really nifty feature is that troopers can be ordered to wait at certain points until they hear one of three go codes which you can issue (alpha, bravo, charlie - you hear these in the video). This allows for some neat coordination. Very rewarding game and I highly recommend it if you liked Frozen Synapse or if you're a fan of tactical games like Rainbow Six. I've only played 4 hours but there's definitely potential here.

I liked how she didn't like that players, through player freedom, could "check out" women (sneaking in Dishonored and zooming in on them). Surely, this must be OK because it's the player that objectifies women and no one forces you to? Same goes for killing female characters in open world games... ehm, I mean, we generally kill males in games. In droves. :x I think a lot of games are sheit when it comes to the handling of female characters. For example, some of the cutscenes in Hitman Absolution were absolutely cringeworthy.

But I disagree with a fundamental principle of hers. Namely, that bodies cannot be appreciated for what they are and people must, somehow, connect to other people on a more deep level than just appearances. I do not fault any woman for checking out a guy with klller abs on the beach without getting to know him. Men, in general, like the female form and vice versa. But, that doesn't mean that games should devolve into gratuitous softcore porn, so I'm totally with her on that.
