I think this whole concept worked better as a throwaway trailer. Thought it was incredibly bland tbh. Like someone said before... nerdsploitation.

I think the inherent problem with as_ is that it is an incredibly "volatile" game mode. You have one player who ultimately decides the outcome of the game and it can be over in an instant. In de_, the very important bomb can be recovered. In cs_, the hostages are invulnerable (nowadays). Escorting the bomb carrier and the hostage rescuer is actually a bit like as_ in some ways.

I think an interesting approach would be to make an inverse hostage map where CT's spawn with the hostage and have to move him to safety. In fact, I know someone already did this but I've actually never tried it. This would give a map roughly the same flavour as as_ but remove some of it's volatility.

    Congratz everyone involved!

PS: there's this dickhead posting threads on Reddit claiming he made Zoo. If you see him, feel free to report him. His posts get reported, but he seem to repost again with the same topic name: Hello, I am Tim Eberardo, creator of the map de_zoo. Here are some of the calls, secrets, and hidden locations in my map.

Congrats to those included! Got to give an extra shout out to RZL, our very dedicated and hard-working CS:GO Playtesting admin who has now well-deservedly been included! Congrats!

And on the previous page? Hence my comment.

Yeah, jesus christ. That was a pretty infantile comparison website. But what do I know, maybe the number of maps is the most important thing. Maybe I should change my design philosophy.

Easy now everyone, it's not Valve-related. No Operation and no Source 2 (unless there's some freak coincidence).

I enjoyed FO 3 more then NV, mostly because 3 had more and better dungeons.

Same here. I also felt like NV was more like an ambitious mod and FO3 was more polished (and was released earlier, so the graphics weren't as outdated).

Uhm... take a look at CTF maps you like, get some inspiration, think about layouts and start experimenting? Don't think you need a book.

They blocked all the withdrawals/purchases so it's all good. Apparently some piece of shit copied my card during my stay in LA (the attempted purchases were done with a physical card with a copy of my magnet strip). Hmm, gonna pay cash next time.

    Have you read Valve's ToS?

Anything created in the SDK is theirs. They are simply providing royalties now. It's definitely the base building for what Source 2 will be. With them announcing it is free and all. Small indies may use this as a platform and modders can use it as a learning ground. But really modding isnt the same as it once was. It's now "indie" with this workshop announcement.

ToS is not uncompromisingly binding, at least not internationally. If you express an idea with someone's tools, it doesn't mean the rights to that idea transfers to the owner of the tools. At least in Swedish copyright law AFAIK...
