You have to make it different somehow, just look at de_mirage and de_pakistan as examples.

WTF there are ads when we launch the game now ????? In a 30$ + DLC game ? My roomate just decided to launch payday 2 again and guess what, a friggin' "Point Break" movie trailer starts up.

We had a collaboration with Point Break movie people, I designed two Point Break levels (one was made with a colleague). It's not advertising per se, it's cross promotion. :)

Here's the trailer for the levels, I'm really proud of them!

Got myself a home theater light :P A YAMAHA YSP5600 (+ a woofer), which is a soundbar with some nifty tricks up it's sleeve. It bounces audio upwards and to the sides and essentially fakes a surround-solution without actually having to rig one up. You can't fake it 100% of course, but it comes surprisingly close and gives that really rich, wide soundscape that feels cinematic.

Can recommend it to anyone who feels like going over budget, doesn't want/can't have surroundspeakers and just wants a solid "plug and play" solution. :)

Having played it for quite a while with guys on Skype (we usually have 3 of us), I gotta say that the game does feel very tactical when you coordinate properly. Nothing more satisfying than breaching from 3 different directions with shock and awe tactics!

I do agree that some of the Operators are a little pointless though.

    We'll have to play more!

And use teamspeak cause we're fucking civilised! :D

Got lucky and got this for free via work. Just played it for about two hours and while I did enjoy myself, I don't see myself playing this in the long term.

I think it comes down to two things; janky combat and bloated gameplay. The former means that you rarely get decent duals as the guns are very controllable and spammy and the netcode feels a bit unreliable. By the latter I mean that the gameplay becomes very muddy with all the various angles, paths, at times bad readability, various gadgets and special abilities and even stances (stand-crouch-prone). All these gadgets, jammers, EMP's and devices. Just because there are more gadgets, does it mean that tactical choices get more interesting? A guy who deploys a device that intercepts grenades... is this fun? I also question the large, porous and open levels, especially combined with the stances (specifically prone). Being able to go prone under a dinner table, blend in nicely and proceed to shoot legs... does it make the game more tactical? And so on.

    Pretty much agreed here.

It wasn't a bad film but it did feel more like a tribute or an echo rather than a new beginning. I also have some issue with a lot of small things that together drag the experience down a bit. I felt the superweapon (360 noscope autoaim star system destroyer) was a bit cheap, and wasn't well presented like the Death Star was (with that, they approached a planet, charged the weapon etc). Kylo Ren felt a bit prequel-Anakin-whiney, especially when not wearing the mask, and the fact that he couldn't easily overpower Finn in a 1on1 really removed the menacing feel of the character. Oh and that Finn even could wield a lightsaber removed some of the mystery and allure of lightsabers imho. I could go on but I don't wanna bore everyone. :D

Played it for 30 minutes. I like the whole Starship Troopers vibe. Do I understand correct that the Galactic Campaign is something everybody contributes to? In short, there's no real SP component (story wise) that uses more of that Starship Troopers satire? In other words, it's a never ending battle?

Yes, the galactic campaign is something everyone contributes to, across all platforms. When a war ends (all enemies are defeated), it will restart, though story-wise it's a new war within the same universe. The lore is that "all large empires" need a "common threat" to remain "unified", so it is implied that Super Earth allows the other factions to rebuild only to subdue them again. Kinda. :)

Not much fun playing solo, no. But playing with pubs is fun so you don't necessarily need your buddies to pick it up too.

@blackdog it has 8 rounds unfortunately.

Personally, if I were left with adding a revolver, I would've added a .50 cal one like the S&W500, which not only looks more impressive and revolvery, it could then also be based on some slightly alternate deagle balance.

Only "weird" date I've had was one where the girl had ridiculously deceptive profile images lmao. :D I didn't bring attention to it or anything but let's just say there was no repeat date.

But that stuff is behind me now, I've been hitting it off real well with the girl I mentioned earlier, she my girlfriend now aw yeah. :) Just spent a few days in Greece with her, it was awesome!

So I've been on a relationship hiatus for 3 years or so, taking care of my health and work. Started dating again recently and... uhm, there's a girl. I feel good about this one. :)

Yeah, my gut was correct. I'm ecstatic. We're going to be apart for a month now though and oh god it hurts.

    Thank jeebus for snapchat.
