you make me want to buy TF2..looks absolutely amazing!

get the orangebox man - play portal and tf2 and ep2 and see some good shit

skdr: nice level! I'd however like the props better to be physical because right now they are just visblockers and you can run through them and can't shoot them. In the typical TF2-Battles at the end of granary it's one of the little details that in a rush of rockets the props fly around and stuff - was missing it here.

nice - allthough i miss something that makes the car look badass in the network-games. and some more speed-feeling (but that might be because we are just watching and not driving ourselves)

I don't think it is the fastest selling gaming franchise in the last 10 years but the one that started from scratch and made that amount of sells.

CoD Franchise for example started the big kick off with part 4 as did Half-Life with HL2 and so on - they selled stronger and faster but not as brand new franchises.

Jade Raymond delivered a keynote-speech at this year's Berlinale (one of europe's most important movie-festivals) on the connection between movies and games. While the first half is not really anything new, the second half is kind of interesting and in general it's a nice essay on the topic.

it needs a break up in the larger areas. the part over the trigger handle is basically just grey. you could easily get some text, logo, badass scratch or what ever there and make it 200% more interesting. also try to add some lighting information into the diffuse as this is not a prop and at least in source some prepainted light adds a lot to the appearence of the weapon

i can't agree. the map is very in a whole different messurment than the other maps - that seems to be right but it's just more the difference between the eyehight in different games. due to the architecture as is in cologne and other old german cities the hallways are pretty high as are windows. the gameplay is a bit tricky but i got used to it after some rounds and to the map's defence in that point I've to say I played a lot of TF2 lately and wasn't so much on the DoD-Trip anymore until now.

What buggers me a little is the decal of the Kölsch-Brewery - seems like an "outer glow" layer effect in photoshop to me and - that doesn't look that great - seriously.

On the other hand i liked the cathedral and the rhein the most. the illusion of moving water was done very well.

and why is this? tbh - stage6 can't just shut down? if you wanted to get more than just an impression of a trailer you could always go stage6 instead of yt and simmilars and had the most decent quality ever for a stream. is it because of the illegal uploads or what`?
