wicked story
looks decent, not sure if the anorganic design fits though. could imagine some kind of organic stuff could work in there too. -

ah too bad you didn't do a full ISO1600 or 2500 shot. You can really see what noise reduction does/does not at those settings
(I was amazed about some of jp's fotos at ISO2500 having less noise than my ISO800 shots due to different camera and noise reduction). -
Artstyle was great but the game it self was pretty meh. No need for a second Bioshock. Let the creative people think of another universe/setting, get your self some good game designers to have the game stand out more and you are good to go. No need for name-recycling...

Well I used to trust a lot of publications and reviews and the dissapointment of the hypes they build up lead me to the conclusion that you can not trust any kind of gaming publication currently (apart from yatzee maybe). Gaming "journalism" is still way too dependend on the money they get for reviews and is still to under developed in terms of objectivity and real meassurements for what makes a good game. I'd even draw the conclusion that there's no real gaming journalism and that's why we get Fifa 8014, Battlefield 35 and Splinter Cell 13.
As Pericolos0 pointed out - it sucks when people get fired, sucks even more if it's not theyr fault but some big competitors' strike, but if these are good journalists and not your joe-avg-will-write-for-ad-contracts people they will have a new job in no time and the competition will help them form a better place.

have i been the only one who didn't check that site regular? didn't see too many links going there on mapcore either? i can see the "bad influence" stuff of a major label taking over a competitor but after all it's still only an online network about games - it's not like lehman collapsing or something like that?!

well in any case with a long shutter time you will need a tripod or some kind of stabilizer. I've done a lot of shots in dark areas and think I've a pretty stable hand but you can't avoid blur beneath 1/10th of a second (and if you're untrained it might be that you blur until 1/30th of a second)... And your item/person of interest must not move during the shutter time either, so if you're doing "social fotografing" you better look into some good flashes, if you're doing land-/cityscapes and stuff a tripod will be your best bet. You can always just get a cheap gorilla-arm, they are small and flexible and you can shot from every position what so ever.

and they do work with DSLRs as well (as long as you don't put a 600mm lens on your cam).

Lower ISO Values - will result in longer shutter times (which you can try to reduce by opening the blend more which will result in shorter focal area). Use flash(es), spots, tripod (if you can work with long time exposure)... Use noise reduction tools - "best" results if you shot in RAW (which you should do anyways) and the manufacturer has an own tool. Last but not least: Get a cam with a bigger chip (allows for more light and will therefore need shorter shutter times) and check the light-values of your lens-sets (forget 1:4 tele lenses for night shots). Oh and you can always just move to a town area with light-pollution >95%.

at least the intuos mouse is way more unprecise. As soon as it doesn't allign 100% with the horizontal and vertical axis it starts jumping around and the grip it has doesn't feel right (for me at least)...
-
i use my intuos one from time to time if my real mouse is in usage with the notebook. i had worse mice before

-
yea got the black one at least and it is ok. it can't compare with the intuos but it's definately what i was looking for - working mobile and it plays really well with the Vista tools for tablets (Notebook, Handwriting recognition and stuff) as well...

hessi birthday

-
yeah great improvement there. the tf2 map looks great, the night setting seems to be an easy way to make the map stand out of the dozens of standard maps - gj

on the mario world map: check out Sven Coop (new beta btw). I remember playing through mario world there already, doesn't get any better

-
sry hessi wrong time zone i was thinking in (japan there my sister stays atm)

well I'm using 24" widescreen and all it offers me is some tiny pink line in the middle of the screen... content wise still top but the old design worked better
