the first one is good readable and clean, the second one however is very hard on the eye. looks too much tone in tone and to dark in the shades. i can not see any route or gameplay in either of these, but maybe that's just because of being static shots.

yes obm is looking really good compared to what it used to be like... even with sharpen applied once or twice too much.

that's totally kick ass. wonder though how you guys work with that money as i was under the impression you all work remote?

that analysis failed pretty hard. "another helicopter, helicopter, helicopter"... he misses most of the important points and even gets the steyr aug wrong as a "so new weapon like mw2". jeez if you're trying to look smart, check your references dude. they aug is developed since 1960 and mass production since 1978 which is only three years after the end of the nam war.

instancing is creating a "map tile" that you can then use everythere in your map like a prefab but with the benefit of being able to edit the instancing source parallel.

the picture would be nearly square then (no pun). If you come to reshoot it maybe shift more to the right side in order to have it "move" to the left (like a shipnose) or to the right and create a more symmetrical mirror line in the picture (so that the corner is right towards the spectator, like the sharp side of a blade). if possible or use a lower focal length (wider FOV), which will increase the perspectival tilt. also if not intended try to avoid falling lines (vertical perspective). i see you shot from ground level and upward so naturally the building looks thiner at the top but i'd go either with stressing this effect (again wider fov) or try to avoid it completely (by lens tubes or photoshop in such a minor correction).
i like the contrast of the different parts of the picture, but imo they don't fit the final composition. the sky is too much in midtones, while the building (major element) is clearly divided into darks and highlights. if you want to maintain a low contrast within the clouds to stress the building more, brighten up the sky (blue/green filter).

xen will not be visible in any media update as part of the "we don't want to spoil the endgame"-policy.

according to the female voice actor from the tram (catzeyes93 or something like that) it's the final media update. let's hope she's right (she was kinda right for everything until now).

8 hours? wtf? explain. did you get the job?
well it's still pending but it was about seeing all theyr pipeline and projects, getting to know everyone related to the projects and talking with everyone (not in a typical interview way but "give us some input on this and that and we see how you tick") and in the mid of that I got to a typical interview with questions on portfolio, past projects, point of views and stuff (stuff consisted on discussing if the boss fight in half-life looked like a giant baby with an open head).

Same, lol.

eight hours (though the actual interview was about 90 minutes)... personally i'd rather do two or three days because essentially getting to know everyone and talking with them will show much more if you will be able to work there properly (in terms of technical knowledge and social integration).
anyway: new job for you?

If you're going for outdoor beauties on that you should consider talking to penE. I think he still has all the references from when we worked on the arena space map (good times

Not to take sides here but the God of War Picture is a great document of craftsmanship first and if it's art depends on what it conveys. The defintion of art I learned and take for my self is if your work has a message. Handicraft is only a helper. If that bed is meant to say something than it's art. If God of War is beautiful but doesn't have a message then it's not art.
