nice one. it looks like really old allthough the motive could be a little weird - rollercosters in 1930?

i assume you mixed up a dissaturation with a color-blend layer and added noise filter and grundge brushes? maybe had a cloudlayer for additional randomburning? and a sharp-layer somewhere in it?

I didn't stay anywhere for long. Had a rent-car and we drove down the goldencircle, the southcost and the beginning of the westcoast.

Keflavik -> Reykjavik -> Hof -> Blue Lagoon/Continental Drift -> Akranis -> Keflavik (and many stations between but's that the endkeys of the parts we made through)

1 was the attempt to catch the smoothness of the water while showing how it spills the stones - the damn leav got into the sight and so it seems a little over blurred

4 is boring but shows the geysir at half of it size - more to show off the size of that heavy burner

6 is what remains from the ground around the geysir after it exploded

7 is not yet fully rendered. It shows one of the enourmus glaciers but the foreground went terrible dark when i played around with the shuttertime

8 pretty much sucks because i tried to fetch the rainbow and did not care for any thing else

14 is dirt on the lens because I climbed the ugly waterfall and had some shots from above sitting in the mud.

Anyway - I'm going to be there on professionals day, too (for HLPortal.de meeting Valve and stuff) and stay until friday I think. I just need to book the campsite and get my Tutor let me off for the three full days.

What level of skill do you need to start on such an internship? Let's say I've absolutely no idea of 3dsmax or maya, can handle a little hammer editor and have ever specialized in photoshop work (which is my case) - could I still profit from an internship? I always though even an internship would require you to be 100% familar with all tools (apart from intern tools ofc)...

first three pictures are awesome but the last two lack some contrast on the bottom part

Nice - I gave a simmilar Tutorial to my Art-Class when they had to learn about photography. The Focal-Length tip (parallelism) was new to me - much appreciated
