Ah yes, Barking Dog. They also did the expansion for Homeworld. For some reason Sierra got them to do it instead of the original devs, Relic.

I haven't played it yet, but even I know for sure it doesn't end like that :\

Its not western, its ancient african.
You mean like ancient egyptians? They were fairly advanced back when your ancestors were probably still running half naked through the woods and sacrificing virgins (wich their descendents of course accused the jews of doing)

But seriously your over reacting. I used to think along similar lines (my school has around a 70% muslim population) but I got over it. There is no real permanent threat from Islam. The west won't "surrender" to to it.

wtf DoD has iron sights?

Nice work, looks very useful.

Awesome stuff, I will definitely check out this map when I start playing Empires again.

This map is much more fitting of Empires than the early stuff we saw in the initial release. Do you have any plans for more? It would be cool to see a snowy wasteland map.

RD: Are you trying to imply what I think your trying to imply?

Wow, that quotes got me stoked.

Bikini Question: A liberal nation will attract conservative immigrants its that simple. I live in Canada I would know.

Actually dhimmis would more acurately be described as second class citizens. In the early days of Islam dhimmis were the only ones who had to pay taxes. This I think is how Islam spread so fast in those days, they didn't have to resort to violent forced conversion or just convincing people how awesome Islam is (missionaries). They just had to wait for all the people who weren't very faithful to their own religions to convert in order to avoid taxes. A simple and practical approach really.
Regardless, I think you are over reacting

In the seventh shot the texture for the ramp looks really out of place. Might want to use the same texture as the interior of the garage.

Dark: Oh wtf your right, I read your post wrong
bwahaha
KFS: Good point, another classic and its from 98, so it was before any of the afore mentioned games, including tribes and TF2!

Don't forget Savage and BF2, they used the same premise as NS yet they made money
I hate hearing about games coping NS becuase NS gameplay is one of the best so the more games that do it, the better. The whole point of this thread has completely gone over your head.
Thrik: I guess I agree with you now. I believe tribes was also the first FPS to feature vehicles? I remember seeing a two page ad of it in an old issue of PC Gamer from 99. It looked really impressive though unfortunality I didn't get to play it myself for several years.
-
The tribes thing was just a 2d map. I wouldn't consider that a commander view, unless you can name an rts that is played with a view like that.
-
Very nice.

Only thing I don't like about it are the trees, they don't have too many leaves but I suppose that this map makes takes place in autumn maybe?
-
There is alot of critisicm aimed ND and other mods because people think they are ripping off the premise of NS.
But I found something interesting on the TF2 wiki entry:
QuoteIn addition to including and improving upon many of the classes present in Team Fortress Classic, TF2 promised to introduce several new classes. The most promising of these classes was the "Commander" class, which put the player in control of a team of players with the task of coordinating them to victory. This class would add strategic elements to the game, borrowing ideas from the genre of strategy games. In an interview, Robin Walker, the game's lead designer, said the game was more appropriately labelled a first-person strategy as opposed to a first-person shooter. Another feature was the much touted in-game voice communication that would allow players to talk to one another to coordinate strategies. Such a feature is no longer unique and is standard in most current multiplayer first-person shooters. Many of TF2's features and themes, including squad-based command structures, commander views, and the fusion of RTS and FPS itself, have since appeared in other games such as Natural Selection...
Any thoughts on this?

They interfere in other countries murdering peoples, establishes puppet governments, undermines an infrastructure, plunders natural resources, finances extremists, erases culture..
Yeah, they did stop you russians from doing all those things.

Iran claims it only wants nuclear tech for civilian energy, but though the Americans have offered this (through Russia) Iran has declined.
