Yea, It would be fun to play from Barney's pov again, or maybe they will do another character. But nothing is really official yet.

QuoteDisplay MoreEurogamer: Lost Coast was clearly a successful way of demoing and testing HDR and the commentary system. Do you plan to roll out more tech demos soon?
Gabe Newell: Yeah, we have a couple...
Eurogamer: This year?
Gabe Newell: This year, yes.
Eurogamer: Are you planning to talk about those soon?
Gabe Newell: Yes, now that Episode One's done.
More free goodies from Valve. God I want to play on some of those cut levels

There was also talk of actual expansions ala Blue Shift and Opposing Force.
Let us dance!

I think you guys got a little side tracked. Rail-shooters don't allow you to control where you go (think Virtua Cop or that old Area 51 arcade game), thats not the same thing as riding in a vehicle in a mp game.

I never said never, i said rarely

People who earn medals, awards, honours, prizes and knightships are still rarely recognized by the masses. Ask someone to name a Nobel laureate other than Einstein.

Licklider formulated the earliest ideas of a global computer network in August 1962 at BBN, in a series of memos discussing the "Galactic Network" concept. These ideas contained almost everything that the Internet is today. His paper The Computer as a Communication Device, Science and Technology, April 1968, illustrates his vision of network applications.
In October 1962 Licklider was appointed head of the DARPA information processing office, part of the United States Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. He would then convince Ivan Sutherland, Bob Taylor, and Lawrence G. Roberts that an all-encompassing computer network was a very important concept.
Screw Gore, Licklider is probably the most under-appreciated American of all time. JANET was formed in 1983, the British contribution to the net would be the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee, who imo is one of the more under-appreciated Brits if not the most.

I would recommend buying it by Steam.More money for valve, no money for EA

No seriously, I think Steam is a great platform for small independent game devs (Darwinia, Shadowgrounds...) and should be supported.
Yea, steam is heaven for indies. Red Orchestra would never of been published without it (they didn't find a willing retail publisher until after Valve signed them onto steam). It will hopefully do more good for indies in the future
Quote from Zaphodthe thing TR is working on is super awesome screaming fun. I spent a few late late nights playing it at thier offices and that was like a year ago so it must be double awesome by now.
Thats not fair!!!11

What was it like exactly? Or did you have to sign an NDA?

-
why not? The train already starts at the edge of the city. So the distance to the part where you get zapped isn't really that long. Besides Valve has made improvements to Source along the way.
Personally I can't wait for more stuff from Valve. Turtle rock is working on something tba, and TF2 might still be alive lol.

Oh your right, I called it DARPA instead of ARPA :\
But why would the republicans credit that to him?
-
Gore didn't invent the net cdxx. He just coined the term "information systems highway" when he tried to get all the schools hooked up to the net. The internet evolved from a U.S. military program known as DARPA.
Or were you being sarcastic? I can't seem to be able tell when people do that anymore

That was already mentioned

Whats really sad is that canada has 1/10th the population of the U.S. and were the #2 polluters

I still think It would have been better if Relic had done it. Especially considering they would of kept the same art style. Seeing those almost cartoony Somtaaw ships alongside the ships from the original was strange.
How many guys exactly quit from Relic at that time?

People goto to theatres to be entertained. A documentory, especially an anxiety inducing one is not most peoples idea of entertainment.

Oh, the rifleman can use IS

And were you planning on using that first one (the ocean) for a map or was that just for practice?

Does the duel with Sniper Wolf in MGS count?

Speaking of books and mapping:

Someone buy it and tell me if its good

Why singleplayer? Wouldn't it make a better mp map?
