cryengine GI is pretty decent, 10ms constant cost though and not quite as good as a precalculated approach. but they have it and it's not obscenely expensive.

i don't mind him posting here, it gives more visibility and more people chime in. it shouldn't be about "look at my diiiiiick"
the car damage is something people are crying about like it ruins the game - but you can still completely trash a car if you do it right. i like how a fender-bender won't fuck up your car completely, it was always annoying when you made a small mistake and then you had to go and repair it cause all the wheels were pointing in different directions, the bonnet was missing and you had no doors left. personally i think this is a good change.
my only disappointment with the game so far is the lack of enterable businesses. i want to go buy a chicken burger or rob a 7-11. i understand it would probably be pretty difficult with the sheer amount of content and the crappy hardware but it starts to feel a little bit like GTA4 where there wasn't enough to do in the city and driving around became pointless.
well i mean NS2 was perfect in every way so i think he has a right to criticise.

wh-what is it?
I played a couple hours of it last night, really enjoyable. Has it's problems like terrain editing being slow and tedious at times, the clicking on houses is annoying at time but I watched the Molyneux interview with Sessler at PAX and he said he knew it was a chore but designed it like that to make you feel closer to your believers instead of just having a bar fill up.
Hopefully as the game gets closer to gold all the annoyances will be resolved. Right now I am still having fun with it.
why are they buying a little kid GTA, why not get him some guns and maybe a hunting knife
ART IS ART

look at the fucking size of that. you need to scale it all down by 50% lmao
what the hell are you studying where they don't show you this stuff lmao
Quote from PogoPIn one what way do you mean? Sure, they were a big, long running and established company in the UK and I'm sure it was quite a comfy job to have, but they haven't exactly produced any decent games recently, just licenced stuff.
Still, it's always sad to think of the people affected by this. Best of luck to everyone. Do we have any Blitz people here on Mapcore?
i had a number of friends there and ex-colleagues. by all accounts the studio culture was really good, they just had a bad run.
this is pretty sad, blitz were one of the better studios in the uk.
hopefully the guys and gals find jobs soon, and don't have to resort to rebellion.
only on the same PC though, nice idea but pretty limited.
