yeah but then look at all the hacking and shit, it takes like 5 seconds to "hack" a turret, and longer to set it up (that welding torch looks so pointless) and .. my god all the canned aniamtions for doing things just take forever.

now look at tf2, where the spy can just run past and slap down a sapper, or capping intel and shit is done so quickly. it just seems to me that they have a lot of things that don't seem like they are needed, and yet you have to stand there holding a button watching a bar fill up, and the rest of the game is flowing past you at speed, yet there you are standing still watching boring naimations play over and over again.

    know what i am saying?

i tlook slike they have alot of TF2 features, but they look like they take longer to use / start using, yet the game has all this free running and speed :S

my dad is having trouble playing crysis 2 because he doesn't have a huge TV, so he can't see the text on screen, and doesn't know what to do.

The In-House engine (2.0) is probably one of the best engines ever made.

No wonder they don't allow modders to use it, those filthy modder scum shouldn't be allowed access to such a great toolset.

    final comment:

The nanosuit and big environments in Crysis 2 encourage gameplay experimentation, which is great.

...placing checkpoints 20 minutes apart...is poor design.”

However, placing checkpoints 20 minutes apart, particularly toward the end of the game after several rough gunfights in succession, is poor design. It's punishing the play that Crytek has built Crysis 2 around. It's self defeating.

he does have a point, pity we don't have quicksaves i guess

Sort of an older site page (it's missing some title stuff) but it shows the process I went through to make the door map. http://www.generalvivi.com/GC_the_door.html

http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly.phpHardly mind boggling numbers but definitely not bad either. Hopefully it'll stay high on the charts the next couple of weeks. Then again it can be disputed how precise these numbers actually are (for better or worse). With a production like this then I'm assuming you guys need to be well above 2 million copies to break even.

    not at 60 bucks xD

the one thing that interested me, and the thing i think should have been marketed more is the idea of the sp being almost a movie. 2 hours is a decent length for a film, and i would have had no qualms if i went into it knowing i would be playing a movie, but i would also not want to pay 50 bucks for the pleasure

well, i don't want to have to pay monthly to watch something, what if want to watch it 2 months down the line, i would have to re-sub.

just seems shitty they put this in place when before you just bought the videos and that was it. seems like they are trying to scam more money out of you just because they have great vids. i am willing to pay for their videos, i don't want to pirate them, but i also don't want to have to pay out of my ass for it..

anyway, good idea on flash downloaders, cheers caralho

it's not so much about basing my opinions on mp from the sp segment, just that by the time i had got 2 hours in i wasn't really that intrigued to load the game up again and play mp.

i don't actuallly have an opinion on mp, i neither like or dislike it, i just don't want to play it.
