big spender.
my friend has one of these it's fantastic, love the internet connectivity options.
-
thanks glogle, i am using the website and there is not such settings option. how convenient..
-
wow great stuff, what are you all working on if warby made pirates on his own?
-
and that is a pretty bad analogy because at least i can view google+ in english, someone know how to change language in origin?
-
origin is to steam what google+ is to facebook
-
LOOKS GREAT, I AM PICKING UP A HEAVY TF2 ART STYLE FROM THAT PIC THOUGH
fuck it caps, accidental but i cant be bothered to retuypoe that blaarghhaagrbbl
-
that didn't turn out too great in the final game though, i think the texture also needs a bunch of work - you have scratches that go right over indents in the normal map which kill any illusion of depth. plus the hazard stripes don't fit too well, it doesn't really explain what it's warning you about.

Going to be a tall order convincing people to switch when they've already invested so many photos, posts, etc into Facebook
yeah, personally i think there's gonna be a rush to get in on it, but google+ is actually shit when you think about it. ok it works with all other google products, but it is facebook with a new skin. i can't even find a way to send a message to people i have connected with, so what's the point?
this is going to flop like google buzz and all that other shit they tried to do. the only thing i can see this bringing to the table is that you can see things that other people are posting who are in a circle of a circle. and i don't know but it seems like that's not going to be enough if they can't even match the functionality of facebook.

did ea explain to you crytek guys why crysis 2 was pulled from steam?
-
but where is the actual evidence? or any statement of proof?

-
also a lot of this is purely speculation, as there hasn't been any official press release from EA or DICE.

i see your point and i can understand why you argue in favor of the game and hold that very high. BUT, the analogy here doesn't work: Amazon and Play deliver packaged good that I open in my doorway, brought to me by the same postal guy and put in the same flat. With orion I'm forced to open a second door, I didn't need because I had Steam installed already.
i'll stop you right there, with amazon and play you need to launch separate browser windows. on the same pc.
even with your quite odd analogy (it would be like focusing on the server setup origin and steam used to make an argument, you're looking at it from the wrong end) you are still in the same house, it's not like you have had to walk halfway across town to pick up your parcels.
-
like amazon.com and play.com?
brave new world ladies, ride the wave.

i miss being banned from the mapcore irc all the time

-
wow i was angry in this thread.
anyway, i got this game and i played it for like 2 hours trying to like it but i just couldn't. hardcore mode just seemed to push you away from grinds and didn't let you jump very high, and that seemed like it. i had no trouble doing ludicrous flip tricks.
i really want a good skating game that mixes boards, inline and bmx, and has a decent thrasher-style hard mode, with online play where friends can ride together. i miss hanging with my old friends now we are in different countries and can no longer skate together

Arkane Studios and founder Raf Colantonio have made memorable games in the past (Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic) that ultimately suffered from a lack of publisher support. Bethesda Softworks believes in their vision and is giving them all the time, money, and development help (regular meetings with guys like The Elder Scrolls' Todd Howard don't make your game worse) they need. Harvey Smith, one of the main minds behind the first two Deus Ex games and a legendary veteran of game development, shares the vision and is on board as Dishonored's co-creative director along with Colantonio. Viktor Antonov designed Half-Life 2's iconic City 17 and is lending his talents to Dishonored's world. This is a perfect storm for creating a game that shatters the mold that first-person action games have built for themselves in the mainstream.
QuoteArkane Studios and founder Raf Colantonio have made forgettable flops in the past (Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic) that ultimately suffered from a lack of proper management. Bethesda Softworks will publish any old shit if they don't have to pay too much and is giving them a year, 1 million dollars, and development help (regular meetings with guys like The Elder Scrolls' Todd Howard don't make your game worse, they simply ruin it before it even had a chance) they need. Harvey Smith, still reminds people he worked on the first two Deus Ex games because he has nothing else, and a legendary veteran of game development that nobody really knows about, shares the vision and is on board as Dishonored's co-creative director, a title that means nothing and confers no power, along with Colantonio. Viktor Antonov definately didn't design Half-Life 2's iconic City 17 alone but likes to pretend he did and is lending his talents to Dishonored's world. This is a perfect storm for creating a game that shatters the mold that first-person action games have built for themselves in the mainstream, and other assorted marketing cliches.
devil's advocate aside, it sounds like an interesting premise, and anything that isn't another mindless romp through video game worlds we've seen a hundred times before is worth keeping an open mind about.
i hope it has co-op, i can't be bothered to finsh most games if there's no co-op.
