/edit beat me to it, i was too busy reading some of the reviews.
the thing about those faggots is that i really don't get what they want; everything to be a kooky jap game? everything to be permanently underground and the creators never see any success? do they want the downfall of the videogame media?
i can only agree on the downfall of the videogame media and the culture they have spawned.
but the reviews, write ups, blurbs, whatever you want to call them delve into such pompous high-brow faggotry that it's hard to take them seriously.
nobody cares if you studied philosophy unless you can apply that knowledge in a meaningful and udnerstandable way to the masses that you are writing for. i could go into a 20 page diatribe about how important it is to correctly tune a guitar or wire a house and how that directly relates to the public's misunderstanding of Braid, but that would just make me look like a prick.
or maybe they just want to piss people off? make them write angry posts on forums like this one.. but then the articles are carefully written and often self-deprecating because they know the amount of trolling and blatant provocation going on. so what's the deal?
as for the limbo review, he raises some interesting points, but then slams portal for being praised, as if it's the games fault that it was praised? and looking at it from todays point of view, yet elsewhere on the site they review "the first game ever made" and insist that it would be unfair and impossible to review it from todays mindset, and that we must *cue wavy lines* travel back in time.
i dunno, they just seem like a bunch of seriously butthurt faggot weeaboos. so let's get sentura a job on the writing staff.
