there is plenty of movies that depict world war2 from the german side
and i don't think anybody would have a problem if one of the cod campaigns was from the german side since nobody ever had a problem with playing german in multiplayer in any ww2 game either.

i loves me some post apocalyptic movies ... or apocalyptic for that matter.
but i get more and more the feeling that roland emmrich is a one trick pony i used to love him back in the stargate / id4 days but he really lost his mojo with Godzilla (awful) the day after tomorrow (boring) and bc 10.000 (the premise is so uninteresting i couldn't even be bothered to pirate it )

it looks totally awesome but i cant shake the feeling that there would have been better uses for those amounts of money.
research and widespread test application for geothermal energy for example to provide the entire world with clean low cost infinitely renewable power ...
or some crazy sci-fi means to get more rain into the heartland of africa

violent games sell that is a scientifically proven fact !
and yeah i agree that war /strategy games are as violent if not more so than first person shooters. anything that were you do harm to a living being is violent down to jumping on gumbas in mario.
i wouldn't know where to draw the line ... but i am sure the politicians who don't even know how to use the intertubes will know perfectly well !

i heared about these games often during the development and each time i checked out their screenshots gitty in anticipation that they have dynamic shadows with "penumbras" ....and they totally DON'T !

my experience has thought me that you get more performance out of a 3d engine doing a 2d game than a 2d engine doing a 2d game ... i know kinda weird
unity will enable to do a lot of stuff without coding it comes with a ton of premade scripts for all sorts of stuff an has a 2d gameplay tutorial on the website with sample project
