Oh no, not another WW2 mod! But this is different:

    Quote

Ham and Jam is a teamplay orientated, first person WW2 mutliplayer game centred around the British and Commonwealth campaigns from 1939-45. Historically accurate missions coupled with careful balance between realistic and enjoyable gameplay makes Ham and Jam a unique experience.

Ham and Jam started out as an idea between it's two main developers as an alternative to the tired old "U.S./Russia vs. Germany, post June 6th 1944" formulae WW2 games seem to use. Fed-up with everything prior to D-Day being ignored, the North West Europe theatre and the lack of British, Commonwealth and Free Forces they decided to do something about it...

The goal was clear - to make a WW2 mod that featured all the "missing" bits of WW2 history, portray it in a historically accurate way but without detracting from the fun or playability by overdoing realism. In short the kind of game they and their friends would like to play. Rather than a deathmatch gameplay style, Ham and Jam is all about teamwork as were the real battles. Each map is set-out with objectives and as a team you must fight to complete them to win.

Got a lot of positive feedback so far, anyone have anything to add here?

The pic of the beach huts is the one I'm most proud of. The scan doesnt do it justice. Its absolutly amazing irl. I did one print and it was ok, whacked a 3.5 filter on the enlarger and sweet jesus, the neg is damn sharp to start with but with true black and white areas its amazing.

The one of the lighthouse was a problem, the lighthouse was white and the sky was pretty dull, the original neg reflected this and with no filter you could barely tell where the lighthouse started and the sky stopped. Again had to use a filter, 3.5 or 4 iirc, but the neg was so under(over?) exposed it took a whopping 120s to expose correctly, hence the very black areas and visible grain.

Indeed, we all know PS3 will outsell it, but damn Revolution will be damn fun, great games.

As DP said on the DoD Forums, give me a reason to get a PS3 without including the words "Metal Gear" or "Konami".

um, if you fire that 20mm grenade thingy, you'll get burning hot casings on you.that would suck.

Wasn't the ejection port on the otherside? I don't like the idea of hot 20mm casings going into my face.

I have an Acer 8ms LCD, I don't notice any ghosting in games, the only time I notice anything out of the ordinary is when im scrolling down at high speed in Visual Studio, which is weird as I can scroll faster in word and have no problem.

But for gaming, no problem. Used a 12ms before but it was some brand I'd never heard of before and it was ok, only noticed ghosting a few times.

8ms is more than enough for gaming. Hell, even good brand 12ms work well.

If you have a nVidia card, 6x AA doesnt work iirc.
