So I came home for Christmas and found my dad had bought a D50 and kept it quiet, so I took it for a walk on the way back from taking my car to the garage for its MOT.

So long since I used a DSLR and due to the fact i was not wearing warm clothes and it was -2c I just whacked it on auto and snapped away. Used the standard 18-55mm lens that came with it.

Agree on the glock, I messed around with my monitors settings to see if it was that.

Now my monitor isn't back to what it was and the glock skin is still bland.

  • Wii, 360 or PS3?

    Wii.

None of the PS3/360 games interest me and those that do will come out on the PC anyway.

Consoles are for good times with mates round a TV and the Wii excels at that.

I'm just sad you have to use 1bit alhpa on the leaves ingame

You can use 8-but alpha in source btw. Sometimes z-ordering gets screwed though.

We use it in HaJ for our tree's, we didnt seem to notice any fps change either.

I don't know why my INS never really floated my boat. It looks good but, to me it doesnt grab me.

I guess it could be because its modern and well the current conflict in Iraq isn't really something I'd want to play in.

I went to the Vue Cinema up the road, UK release was supposed to be Nov 17 but they moved it forward to Nov 16 (whether it was the actual release or just advanced previews) and I went to the 5pm showing.

Thus the cinema was half empty as nobody was home from work. Unlike the later showings where the queue was up the main street.

The list of PS2 games that don't work with the PS3 is growing...

On top of the limited PS3 games, the overheating problems and lack of availability, this is one top notch release sony.

    Oh. My. God.

Best Bond film ever, tis in a league of its own. Bond is a lot lot more human, we see him become the man we know.

The title sequence with lack of bond girls was a refreshing change and was certainly a very impressive piece.

    ----Spoilers [Highlight]----

The parkour chase at the start, omg. Le Chiffre's torture method was hilariously simple, something bad guys always overlook and Bond's responces amazing. Although Le Chiffre's demise was expected, it didn't feel right not being at the end, although I guess he wasn't the "true" bad guy. Should have picked up Vesper from the start with the words in the title music but still equally shocking. From previous films you expect Bond to save her, but alas no.

    -----------

Best line to end a film ever. Period.

    11/10.

I presume its not the case anymore but LCD's used to have real trouble getting 16.7 million colours and a decent response time. Hence why all the graphic design based panels had high ms ratings.

I think its been improved now though. I have an Acer 17" 8ms LCD that one website says its 16.2million and another 16.7. It's next to my iMac which Apple says has "millions" of colours and neither look any different to me.

    So er... what was that.

I guess if you're wearing headphones it sounds like 5:1. But I guess listening to it on a 5:1 system spoilt it a bit.

Very good so far, had a 3410 before and it just had enough after 5 years of use. Good camera, great battery life (if its not been called or stuff I estimate it would need to charged every 1-2 weeks) and came with a 64mb SD card + internal memory.

    Probably around ~$20.

I've done some work freelance (admittedly mapping) but some guys were doing the models and they were getting approx $250 iirc for a view model version of a weapon, that was a low poly-ish one though.

Last update of this, it has to be handed in in 9 hours and I intend to be sleeping for a lot of that after last nights fun.

Whacking subdivisions on it makes it look so purdy, but we are not allowed to use them in this assignment, it also jumps to 280k polies too

Edit: Yes I know Koenigsegg is reversed on the rear engine bay cover, fixed now.
