I forget what the actual quote is from one of the radio stations in GTA3 but it summed up American Football nicely.

"American Football teaches you real American values, such as taking another mans land whilst wearing tight pants and shouting a lot"

I'm on the team and we're certainly pushing for an earlier date, hopefully we can do that.

Obviously FF can't compete in sheer numbers with TF2, I'd imagine a lot of pubbers will play TF2 and FF but I think the clan scene may get drawn towards FF over TF2 simply because by the looks of it FF has more of a skill area like TFC did.

Start the third and final year of my Bachelors degree (BA Hons Multimedia Design & Digital Animation) in a month and hope the lecturers accept my choice of specialising in Digital Animation for the final major project.

Hope to get a 2.1 out of it, a first is asking a lot and nobody for 2 years has got a first from the course and seeing the levels people were doing for 2.1's this year is gonna be tough to match. That Solar animation I posted got a 2.1 grade for it!

I'm now the President of the universities climbing club so hopefully make that even more successful than last year, lots of work to do be done there. It's also where I met my current gf and we've been going out for near enough 5 months down and its all been good. We also knew each other for about 6 months before so whoever said being friends before doesnt work is wrong.

Once Uni is finished I'm not quite sure what i want to do, either Level Design or something Modelling/Animation based in the Games/Film industry perhaps. I think that I'm definatly gonna have a year off doing random stuff as by that point it will have been 17 straight years of education, definatly deserve a rest. Hopefully will build up a better portfolio of stuff this year and next to get a decent launchpad into wherever I decide to go.

Got bored the other day/week and decided I needed to get something better than the abyss that was my website so knocked this together in a day or so.

Need to get some better images and stuff on there me thinks as well as sort it out a bit better. I should also probably think about what area of the industry I would like to go in and dedicate it more to that, the photography part is sort of space filling at the moment.

I havnt played SS2, but I partially redeem myself with multiple runs of Deux Ex.

I'm tempted to buy Bioshock...but I think I need an 8800 to enjoy it properly.

I blame generic american-biased post d-day games.

Theres a shitload more to WW2 than normandy which most game developer seem to forget.

Thinking about it....a lot of Swedish students study in Carlisle...

I guess I'm just lucky that the club most of us lot go out to is off the main road which houses 99% of the clubs/pubs/bars/take aways in Carlisle. So the police presense round there, along with the network of alleyways you have to negotiate to get to it presents ample pissing oppertunities.

There are public toilets nearby, but only the manliest of men go in there to get bum rushed.

They tend to do this in Northwest England too, however looking at them at the best of times is not advisable.

They are...not gifted in looks.

Yeah, I went through a lull of not playing on my Wii for about 3 months when Uni crunch time kicked in. However over Summer I've played it a lot, finally finished Zelda, did some more Wario stuff and downloaded a few new VC console games such as Lylat Wars, F Zero X and Sonic 2. They should keep me entertained till Metroid 3 hits around October...then Mario in November...
