It's good, but I think it would be better as a horizontal panorama style shot minus the shadow.

He's not anymore, the admins deleted the threads because they turned into epic-bashing. They're now back up and he's unbanned and epic staff looking into it.

It's not like its an amazingly original concept to steal either.
Edit: On further reading it appears it seems to be a remake of an old Epic UT99 map that Epic has redone and the "stealing" goes as far as making a map in an artic setting including a boat.
Whining over nothing tbh.

This was on in the forest near here this weekend, a good chance to seem some rally action up close. Very close. Like the fools in all those youtube rally crash videos we (my girlfriend and I) edged slowly closer to the road till we we're getting pelted with stones and rocks.
Sadly we didn't hang around for the International Rally section (Subaru's/Evo's etc taking part in the British Rally Champ.) due to the fact it was freezing cold and they started at 9pm. We did however get the entirity of the Historic rally with some classic old rally cars. Bit noisy as it was pretty dim out there.

The last one is the last shot I took of the day before we left, was the eventual winner of the rally bombing by in his Evo IX over a 5s exposure.

Yeah, anyone who touched an art based subject during their education from high school onwards probably had the bauhaus inflicted upon them.

Apparantly my DirectX is running in debug mode so I can't play this....wtf.
-
Shame it probably comes with Starforce like all the other Trackmanias....

The yanks have had theirs up for months and Europe was once again bummed into the darkness and forgotten about.

I've seen plenty of old buildings around here with their roofs just like that, smooth curved ones dont tend to happen that often.

Right, now I've put it some decent playtime I think I can comment on it further.
I like it. A lot. I havn't played the DS version nor the SNES version so those tracks are new to me and are quite interesting. The track selection is good and I've unlocked all 8 so far on 50cc and 100cc and as usual the AI is up to its old tricks on 150cc. Its classic mario kart and its fun, the Wii Wheel took some getting used to and I havn't gotten a hold of the new drifting system yet (Automatic seems to work very well). The addition of stunts and motorbikes has added to the gameplay, you can pull of stunts easily and they can make the difference between 1st and 2nd place in many maps. The motorbikes are just cool and doing wheelies down the straights for extra speed is a nice touch.
Moonview Highway is a bitch on 150cc grand prix.
The new power ups I'm less than enthused about. The Bullet is much better than the old Chain Chomp and the Thunderstorm thing is a real pain when you find yourself alone. I do like the Squid spraying ink over the screen but after a while you get used to it and its more of a niggle than a annoyance (except on rainbow road....) and the POW block should never have got into the game. Theres so few areas to avoid its effect (being airborne...) it just boils down to spam.
I'm glad some of the old MK64 powerups came back, i hated how double dash got rid of the triple shells spinning around your kart, the same for the trail of bananas. They've finally come back and the game is much better for it. The lightning is still annoying but it doesnt blacken my screen, sounds like you're TV's up the wazoo. The blue shells seemed to have been toned down in their frequency for the addition of the 4 extra players (12 not
which is relieving.Unlocking the new karts and characters is fun and you can sink time into that although the characters add nothing, the upgraded karts do have minor benefits.
The online play is pretty good, my only other online experience with the Wii are GH3 (awful) and Mario Strikes (awesome) and Mario kart Wii falls under awesome, i've not added any friends yet (thrik/reno codes?) but the continental/worldwide option is great and works quickly. The voting system seems really random (good/bad) and I feel it picks easier tracks more of the time than harder ones.
Overall I'd give it 9/10. Its good old fashioned fun for old and new players alike, it might not be the prettiest of games or the most advanced but thats not what Mario kart was ever about. It was about pure unadulterated fun with 3 mates sitting next to you, beers in hand and having a cracking time which this delivers.

Play it with 3 mates and its awesome. Even two people taking on the internet is great. Yes the POW thing is spammy and annoying and the drifting is best set to automatic for ease of use but other than that its pretty darn good.
Must've played it with the GF and mates for about 15 hours the past two days.

OMFG.
This game = Pure win. Everything about it is amazing, the blend of old and new, the Wii Wheel, the bikes, new powerups and the excellent online 12 player multiplayer.
Awesome.

Woke up early yesterday, had to go into Uni to get my gf's keys to get into her house to lug a Sofa and stunt crashmat she'd been keeping there into a mates Mercedes Sprinter to get it to Uni for a photoshoot. Spent 7 hours under the studio lights doing all manner of stuff for her photoshoot and ended up posing as a "fake" boyfriend to this random girl. The random girl infact turned out to live about 10 minutes away from me back home, weird.

I think I might whirl round to Gamestation tommorow and try and get a copy.

-
Bleh, cant find anywhere thats gonna reliably get it here. Gameplay/game.co.uk/amazon/play all say out of stock or won't let me pre-order.

-
Too many scousers

Where abouts in Wales are you? When I did the Three Peaks challenge we drove from Snowdon to Liverpool in about two hours? Presumably further south or you went in a Sinclair C5.
I've become so densensitised to time when driving its ridiculous, the 4.5hr journey from home feels like a short trip after doing the Three Peaks challenge where I ended up driving 1500 odd miles in 36 hours.
-
It's not on the site :*(
Amazon doesn't have it either, only Play seems to.

-
4 Hours isnt a mega drive

-
Cock, forgot it was out so soon!
Looked on the gameplay site and no mention of it! gameplay.co.uk?
