What is it with Romans and sucky models?

    [Blocked Image: http://www.gingerlord.co.uk/portfolio/images/roman.jpg]

He has such a square head its hilarious. The original idea was to not have his head shown at all, but the group leader decided to change the plot once we had done all the models so I had to hack on a head, it turned out square for some reason. The feet are also hilariously bad and the whole model is completely unoptimised as it was for animation/cgi where the polycount didnt matter as long as it rendered

It's not really that hard once you get used to it. I work for a small landscape gardening company (I make up 1/4 of the company..) and the pay is pretty good, doubles as exercise plus the sense of achievement is great. I couldn't stand working for somewhere like Tesco to make ends meet.

Anyway it pays the bills (and a lot more) till I get my portfolio sorted out and use my degree for stuff.

Got up at 6:45am, my usual work time, rolled into work at 7:30 soaking wet. I live 20 meters away from work, thats how much it was raining. Loaded the trucks up with all the hedge cutting gear we needed and rolled off down the road into the thunderstorm. Proceeded to work in thunderstorm for next 3 hours, then another 5 in torrential rain. I am wet, tired and hungry now.

Repeated today, except the 5 hours in torrential rain was replaced by 5 hours in direct sunlight with no shade.

I didn't even read the post dates

Anyhow, those activity pack days are still awesome if you pick carefully. Some seem great deals but you end up only doing 5 mins worth of stuff rather than 2 hours!

Nothing more than a bit of Soviet policing of ex-territory. The British did this for many years and still do on occasion.

Great film all round, my only gripe is like other Bales Batman voice is slightly dubious.

I'm glad Two-Face came and went, he was cool for the CGI and look of his face but after the 6th or so time of flipping the coin trick he became boring. Yes he wants his revenge, yes he flips a coin, has he got anything more to flesh out with? No.

Interesting to see if a third comes around, logic would say yes but Nolan hasnt signed up for a third film yet and who could be the bad guy?

The Riddler is a lame joker who's own riddles lead to his demise, the Penguin is a fat mafia boss...wow...Mr Freeze is lame and Catwoman isnt much better. This means either we're going for a lesser known character, lameness, or

This is different to PC monitors where you're typically not going to use it for anything other than PC usage. I have a big 24-inch PC monitor, but I wouldn't want to exchange my lovely sofa and huge television for it — nor would most others I imagine.

I know more students who use their monitors for TV/DVD watching than those who don't. Granted I know more media guys than others but PC monitors are definatly not just used for PC visuals, nor a small percentage either.

why do you have 3 screens ginger.. you have only 2 eyes`???

You mean you don't have 3 eyes?

The Mac and the PC are networked, was very handy when doing my final degree animation as I was edition on the Mac in Final Cut and rendering/compositing on the PC and sending the files to a network drive both could pick up. Saved switching between computers. Plus when the iMac is in XP it also has a WinTV box attached for TV usage.

I used to play Pyro a lot, now the games flooded with them like Medics during the Medic update. Half the servers seem to have class limits as well.

Not played much but the BackBurner seems to be absolute rape.

How about something with set width's but no height limit to get some vertical action going. Or perhaps a theme or "Art Reworked" where you take a well known (or not) piece of art and apply its theme and stuff to a map...cue millions of Salvador Dali-esque style pieces.

This shot does not convey the terror of the 60m sheer drop 10cm from my foot. Although you can sort of see the "Oh shit..." look on my face.

I wouldn't trust £40 for my ability to defy gravity to some degree

It's 'ok' when you're wearing £75 worth of shoes, attatched to a £50 harness on a £120 rope with about £150 of gear in below it

Doesnt help when they rip out on a fall though which results in trouser browning.

    Black Diamond Camalot C4

Good, but only worth buying in sales when they're dropped to £40 each
