Dreamweavers like Microsoft Frontpage.
Except not shitty, conforms to web standards and is about a billion times better all round.

Ze Bump.
Still looking for animators and coders.
Looking good, a decent 3D skybox will make it awesome®.
Quote from duxWow, even if the mod didn't live up to expectations (I've no idea I didn't play it) It just goes to show as conclusive proof how dumb the half-life community still is by having to close the forums from all the flamewars. I looked at it the other day before it was closed, and my god - people not an inch of sense about them.
It's all part of the fun of doing a mod lol. We've had a few genius' come into the HaJ spouting nonsense without even seemingly looking at photos or the site. I remember one asked "Where are the Americans? You know they won WW2 and the Brits did sod all?".
:ssj:
You must conform!

Turned out to be a lot longer (about 30m worth) and a lot smaller than it looked (I had to take off my helmet, harness and gear to squeeze through)

Was fun, if slightly painful and dirty, though ![]()
Shame Rare sold out to MS. This could've been more awesome on the Wii ![]()
First two games were ace on the N64.
Should zoom not be 1 or 0? Not 1.3? Where did you get the 1.3 from?
First ever model into Source. A simple picture frame with 3 skins.

That degree really paid off lol.
Hmm, I'll have to dig out my old Audigy2 card then. I took it out when I got this PC put together as the onboard 5.1 sound sounded much better ![]()
Shame the sound quality isnt top notch in Fraps though.
Quote from SteppenwolfBetter late then never!
Indeed, don't get me wrong I'm glad this happened. Just wished Valve sort of let the community know in the 4 or 5 years inbetween about the delays and not just "maybe soon" ![]()
Not sure they picked the best 5 mods to start with though. I would have definitely got PvK2,Fortress-Forever,Dystopia rather than AoC/DIPRIP/Synergy.
Edit: Minerva too.
Maybe they forgot to put the PC inside ![]()

Demanding $35,000,000 for the ship and crew now!
Wouldn't put is past the Russians to blow the ship out of the water and give Ukraine/Kenya a load more tanks to replace the lost ones. The crew is probably seen as expendable ![]()
Quote from FuryoI honestly don't ever remember Valve promising that kinda thing.
They did say about it when Steam first went live, only other thing I can find is some old hlcoders emails:

We'd like to begin collecting builds from Mod teams interested in
distributing their Mod on Steam.
Players will be able to click on the icon for your Mod in the Games list
to install your Mod and then get all of the files they need. This means
they won't need to visit a web site to download the content and install
it manually. We will be able to release new versions of your Mod on
Steam so everyone will automatically get the updates.
Dedicated servers will also be able to get the content for your Mod.
We should be ready to start distributing Mods on Steam in the next few
weeks. In the meantime, if you'd like to have your team's Mod included,
please put together a complete build of what you'd like to release (.zip
or .exe) and send me an e-mail with a link to the file so I can download
it and get things ready on our end. Make sure the build you give us has
been tested with Steam.
Please also include contact information for a Mod team member for us to
communicate with if we have any questions/problems.
Let me know if you have any questions.

It will remain under control of the Mod team, we will simply provide the
delivery mechanism. You will need to go through us to publish updates
and we will do some very, very basic QA.
Nice portraits. I wish people would use more than white or black backgrounds on portraits. Some of the best portrait shots I've seen come off the Photography degree course at my Uni were done on brown, red and yellow backgrounds. Gives a neat effect that instantly sets your photos apart.
Valve finally (partially) deliver their promise to host mods on steam after what? 5 years?
I ran into this problem today, no matter what size I modelled my object in XSI it was still tiny ingame. I resorted to the .qc scale parameter to fix this.
Keep seeing the trailer in the cinema and less and less of it looks like anything from the games. I spot the odd things and then they throw in something completely random. I guess its not sticking too closely too it.
