For fun times, go into the Tube and stand on the left of the escalators and see how quickly someone screams at you.

I'm not really sure, seems Disney fubar'd the finance department.

I'm taking it as though Disney couldn't afford me however for motivational reasons.

Normals on the wooden buildings are a bit too strong and are all those wind turbine blades in the same position?

Personally i don't like the picture quality of the small Ixus cameras. The tiny lenses are not that great. Thats why i decided for the bigger Powershot A-series. It's still a compact camera that fits in a jacket pocket but the bigger lense allows for much nicer and crisper pictures.

Really? I've looked at a few sample images of yours and the quality seemed no different to the old IXUS models. The new top ones create some stunning images, then again a stunning price of £200+

As much as I love Nikon, Canon compacts out perform them.

Get as much IXUS as you can for your money, they're all good.

Arkham Asylum also picks up best gameplay. Uncharted 2 picks up best action game, best original score, best story, best use of audio. L4D2 gets best multiplayer game.

At least it wasn't a total runaway like last year with CoD4, I'd expected Uncharted 2 to squeeze it though.

You will get absolutely raped for the first few hours whilst you attempt to level up and get decent weapons.

Another often overlooked tip is to bring multiple copies of your CV with you to interviews, even if you've sent them ahead. When I went to mine and sat down in the room I saw my CV printed out on a table, however when the two guys and PR lady came in to interview me the PR woman said "excuse me, I'll just photocopy these so we all have one" and I was able to step in and say "actually, I brought extras with me!".

Both the lead game designer and franchise designer then turned to each other and nodded.

I took my laptop to my interview but they didn't want to look at my work, just discuss theoretical stuff. I made sure to leave them a CD with all my work on to check out later on if they wanted, it included all the levels I wanted to show in .bsp and the source files, as well as a full copy of Ham and Jam. The laptop I took could barely run HL2 on low anyway, I suspect my case was probably more the exception to the rule however.

Reposting from other thread for posterity

My advice is to do a general media based degree rather than a specific computer games degree. That way if it turns out you don't like the industry you don't have a paperweight degree.

I did mine in BA(Hons) Multimedia Design & Digital Animation which covered traditional 2D design, traditional animation, digital animation and modelling, web design, flash design and more.
