I'd be interested in seeing a proper "rough seas" one though. That could look very good in a 3d skybox

It also starts with the HDR skybox creation program we don't have. I know that Arkane Studios had a lot more resources to make Dark Messiah, not to mention Valve's support.

Don't think for a second that we have the same SDK as the purchasers of the license. There's a lot more to the Valve SDK than what we are given for free.

Insane. I'll go on record and say that I'll happily buy the first game that comes out where I can kill Jack Thompson

I really did bug my friends doing marketing for Rayman to let me go with them, but I guess that didn't help. My work will be there to be played, but not me

No I arrived there last march (first job in the industry), right after they were done with King Kong, which was the game following BG&E.

Working with Michel Ancel definitely is a great experience and a challenging opportunity to get better and better at what you do...

It was made in the studio I currently work at, in Montpellier. The PC port was done by Ubisoft Milan in Italy

I just got done playing it, and to be honest I thought the controls with the lightsaber were dodgy...could be that it's the PC version, with a pad it hasn't been designed for.

Some fun times, but I really hope they have more cool stuff under their belt in the game and the demo hasn't shown everything, cause it would get old. i.e. Prey....

  • Flat brushes in Hammer

    • Furyo
    • August 8, 2006 at 6:04 PM

Well to be perfectly clear, they are feasible in Hammer, but if you end up with one, you screwed up somewhere cause it's bound to cause an error in your compile.

To create one, you can make a simple brush and weld the vertices together. The brush will still exist according to Hammer....

Have you tried clicking on some geometry in the 2d views, and then pressing ctrl + e? I think the maps start up with a black screen.

While ctrl E doesn't necessarily work (it doesn't for me), View-> Center 3D view on selection always does for me.

King Kong was the following game, and we're now working on Rayman Raving Rabbids for the Wii.

yep I only ask cause I see too many job offers that don't specify these things, and people send their CVs for nothing... I do assume anyone that would apply to a job in a different country would be willing to relocate...
