I concur with Mazy, it's just the hole in the dome that needs some depth. Other than that, that just looks sexy all around.

You guys are just forgetting Wii's target. That console IS made for casual gamers. Families or mates all joining together for a quick moment of fun yadda yadda yadda. So it really is no surprise that the console doesn't have as many fans on Mapcore as in "real life" as we all are hardcore geeks to start off with (in Nintendo's definition of the term, which is " anyone that's willing to go online to learn more about a game, is no longer a casual gamer")

That first screen has got some good potential. It'll be nice to be blowing skeletons up for a change....

Reno, it's called marketing
Those retailers are saying that just so people aren't completely scared and they don't end up with all that lauch allocation in their warehouse too long -

Wii wins, X360 second, PS3 third

Well I just saw the trailer, and it doesn't look good either....

Your map can only have 1024 different entities in it (brush and point entities) before it refuses to be compiled. So one way to make it would be to have only 1 of those balls, be spawned 10,000 times first, then enabled.
Very cool idea though. I'd like to try making that concept map first, but I'd need that bouncing ball model

Be extremely careful with those Dark Messiah textures, they're insanely large. Plus you don't need those crazy resolutions to have a good looking map. Arkane actually put out a patch for the game (1.2) that automatically makes them half res in game. 1 Gb of ram per map was just a bit too much.....errrrrrr
-
Don't know if it's DM or HL2, but it's definitely using DM assets. I'm tired of seeing those textures every day

It shouldn't just be the UK sales director that should leave, the aussie one should be on his way

The new website for this game was just launched:
http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/
That could be the best Star Wars game yet....

There's also a big difference between sell-in and sell-out figures. Sell-in are the number of copies ordered by retailers, and sell-out are the actual customer sales. Many companies announce sell-in figures to boost themselves up, but in reality they may be sent back half the retailers stock

This list confirms that it's not because you have a very low rating that your game won't sell....but it sure helps to have a good one....

I'm looking into changing my comp in the coming months, but trust me, my PIV 2.4, 512 Mb of ram and 9500 Pro has served me well in Source. And not just HL2, but also the far more demanding DoDS.

Nice move indeed.

Got my copy just now at work, so 9 days total for shipping
Will read it tonight -
If you don't want to be bothered, enter the materials/models folder in the exclusion list of your hammer options. That way the textures in that folder won't be loaded so you're sure you're not using them

The one thing that keeps some industries in their home countries is the cost of shipping. If the shipping cost equals the savings you'd do by establishing your production abroad, you're most likely going to stay home.
And that's one thing that will never be true with the software industry. Viva the Internet

That's very badass indeed
