I tried to cut the lines yesterday at PAX to see this in action and make my own mind up on this game, but couldn't go through. 2h30 waiting line for it, so clearly people are noticing it. In comparison (entirely different game), I was in and out of the line for Quantum Conundrum in 20 minutes.

Yeah CJ, Deceiver, Vivi and I met up with Fuzzdad and Fuzz yesterday and went to the Hitman gameplay panel. My personal feeling was that it still felt rough around the edges, but it had finally managed to instill in me a proper Hitman feel when played "pro". The videos so far clearly couldn't show that, and felt way too Splinter Cell Conviction to me. While part of that is still very true when going about it guns blazing, the intense stress of managing to remain unseen at all times was the definite highlight.

Stop drinking coffee altogether, get huge migraines for a few days due to caffeine withdrawal, problem fixed.
PS: I just went through this stopping sodas altogether.

Can't wait for Saturday

Yesterday night, Deceiver, Vivi , I and a bunch of other guys from Steam and game devs met with Day of Defeat legend Fuzzdad and his two sons, one of them of course Fuzz, the original creator of the mod. It was a blast

Quote from Izuno
Intellectual stimulation. For real. TV = sit back in my chair and go braindead. Gaming = sit forward in my chair and use my brain to figure something out...while being entertained.

Is there any form of entertainment that's not intellectual stimulation? Surely anything that isn't intellectually stimulating can only be boring, therefore not entertainment?
Are we saying the same thing with different words?

I find it funny that anyone on these forums would be looking for "a point" in gaming. The point is to entertain you. There is no other point to any other game out there.

Taylor, Samcom, please give me your full names and positions if you want to be added to the list

"getting older" affects eyesight over decades, unless your eyes actually get "sick" and degenerate rapidly. Computers accelerate the process.

ah Marc, tu es un homme de gout

Because you're spending all day blinking less than regularly (happens to everyone when watching a screen) but compounded by the huge contrast that surrounds you. You're simply making your eyes work a lot harder than they should. Ultimately, the screen you work on should only be as bright as the room you work in (ambient light). Which is also why I will always setup my screen to "economic" so it uses less electricity and is not so bright it lights up my desk.
If you need extra light on your screen to better see something, that light should come from around the screen, including a lamp rather than emitting from the screen itself, so your eyes don't get hit by all the extra light face on.

- All artists who love to work in darkness will probably develop severe eye problems within the next 20 years.

Ok I'll bite and play the game too:
- Producers will sometimes keep you in the dark and let you crunch to a milestone that's already been pushed back or cancelled because "any work done now doesn't have to be done later"
- Then you get the updated milestone and realize most of your work is now cut.

Thiago, you just made me homesick for the home I've never had....I love a good Caipirinha...Damn I love Brazil probably even more.
Alcohol wise, my fav has always been [Blocked Image: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w19cgUHFVBs/TuZBJQAjBKI/AAAAAAAAB6w/zcOs46_0tfQ/s1600/baileys.jpg]
But I can never say no to a good pommeau, cognac, armagnac, pineau or muscat (the first three are made the same way, only the fruit changes)
Beer? Anything amber and dark, no stouts. Whites are good too in the summer when you're looking for refreshment. Blondes are generally tasteless to me (not considering the random run of the mill piss that passes for beer in a lot of supermarkets)
Oh yes, and [Blocked Image: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/16/Amaretto_disaronno.jpg/250px-Amaretto_disaronno.jpg] and [Blocked Image: http://www.wjdeutsch.com/images/TRADE%20MATERIALS/BOTTLE%20SHOTS/VM%20high%20res%20bottle%20shots/VM_Limoncello_NV_750ml_BTL.jpg] never disappoint

Went to see it last night. Pretty uninspiring overall. Total washed down lowest common denominator "summer" blockbuster production. Check your brains out before going in. Half assed plot, no real underlying message/political stance; the fights were pretty good as they at least went for brawls/survival fights over choreographed 15 minutes long unbelievable sequences.
Everything this movie does, Battle Royale does best. And please, the cast of good looking teenagers in every movie to please the "twilight" demographic needs to go.

Canada offers 6 months temp work visas, although they have become more expensive and a bit more difficult to obtain. The economic crisis in the Western world has made every country a little more self-centered and less open to immigrant workers (European countries and the US are no strangers to that lately). However, you may still find yourself between a rock and a hard place. I wouldn't advise anyone to leave their home country without any experience in the field they are looking for work in. Particularly if you already are in a country with an established industry. A friend of mine in Canada is currently finding it hard to get a position because he doesn't have a visa (temp visa) and companies apparently no longer want to foot that bill for people in Canada already (they don't have a choice for people outside of Canada). And he's got 8 years of industry experience.
Canada has acquired a very large pool of talent to choose from in the recent years, so much so that companies in Montreal are now asking for things to calm down before the system implodes. It's just not 2007 anymore.
