    My own little idea: make something that doesn't look like it came from the engine it uses. On GoW, don't make some muddied blue-grey-brown mansion. On Source, don't make a wrecked city lit in fluorescent yellow and teal. On FarCry, don't make a jungle island...

    ...On Build, don't make a 1996 looking level.

    Personaly, I absolutely love the look of those textures. The blue tones really work well with the sandrock-coloured brick. Nice work. Th brick however does have major repeatitiveness issues though.

    Nice stuff you have going on there Shacky, has quite a unique atmosphere about it when you compare it to most singleplayer maps for HL2.

    When you said empty, I didn't expect it to be that empty! Some nice stuff on there though.

    But may I ask why some of the latter images open both a lightbox and a page with the same images? The first 2 pages don't do this, while it leaves the rest quite inconsistent.

    I just feel like making a quick update due to the thick layer of dust on this thread. I've been pretty much busy with school, Star Wars: The New Era and recently got accepted into the team behind Hostile Intent: Pheonix Rising. I haven't really had the time to exlusively work on this personal project of mine, but I'm currently trying to organise a way I can get some work done on it every now and then. I'm hoping to make an update a little into the future to document a little more indepth with what I'm trying to achieve, but when it comes to actually process being made, it'll be slim since I'll most likely be putting more work into the two mods I am part of the team with. Sorry about the lack of updates but hopefully I can have something worthwhile to read or show in the future.

    Nice image there I think i get what you mean, so you mean the left arm, instead of being positioned in mid air, would actually be partially underwater and the hand would be holding a small island?

    Something along those lines. I say it's worth an experiment to see if it fits of not, but it's up to you or not. Removing the arms entirely kind of removes the unique concept you had going there unfortunetly.

    Hah, yeah i guess it does, the arms have gone now though just leaving the cliche at the normal level

    Have you tried doing it a little different such as, having the palm as a small island, while the fingers raise upwards. Here's a bad image to illustrate what I mean;

    Wow, great stuff there. The style of them is quite similar to the style I invision my Source project to look like in some ways.

    Just did an experiment for Payload using a bigger train model. Now to make it possible to build stuff on it.

    Be sure to add a few here and there (if you haven't) for Spies though. They can be very useful at times.
