Those Screens look decent! Seems like solid work you've done there. The point about the Download Link is it should be huge and first thing you see (after the Screenshots) - you sell a product, so you should make it as availble as possible.
On the BaE - When I asked around what I should teach at my Photoshop Tutorials, alot of professionals put it like that: "It's only a good use of filters and layer styles if you can't see it's a filter or layer style".
You know there are some mappers who are not graphic designers right
But I agree, Bevel and Emboss is best if u cannot tell its a filter. Outer glow can work wonders with certain setups though. -
1 more day!!!!
so anyone here getting AVP for the 360? I highly doubt it, but still gonna ask.

Care to elaborate the differences?
Arg, yeah I suppose, but I can't find a specific change log so I'm not going to go through and guess exact changes. I will elaborate from playing both versions (PC Beta I played around 15 matches. 360 Demo, around 35 - 40) which you can easily tell have significant differences. Most being the large number of environmental bug fixes and frame rate issue fixes. Weapon damage overall feels more like mw2 for example, takes less bullets to kill someone, heh. These few things I just mentioned have made the game 100% better for me. Other noticeable things; scopes do not have the ugly/annoying filter on them when zooming. Weapon placements, vehicles have been tweaked for the better. Last but not least, In-game cinematics have been updated.

The beta is awful compared to the demo. Just wait and play the full version and try out the demo on the console. Its far better.

This is simply one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Puts us modern level artists and designers to shame.http://www.cgchannel.com/2010/02/making ... hbo-intro/
Please take me back to the 80s...
Very cool, I remeber watching HBO with the startup intro. (very young memories of course) But this brought back a lot of Nostalgia. I miss seeing all the creative stuff without 3D.
" we put a few bums on the street, a few hookers on the corner" hahahahahaha awesome!

wow, Game Informer review on AVP is total wacko!
"but his issues were 'the Motion tracker is annoying!' (you know, the iconic motion tracker from Aliens. ) 'I hated being stealthy as a Predator!' (...) and 'Clinging to walls and ceilings as an Alien is really confusing!'"
ok ok, I am officially done reading reviews for games. To many dumb out of school kids writing shit these days and only think about thumb up their ass simplicities.

I don't think they'll get rich on this game. Quality aside, it is a movie IP. A considerable share will go to the movie IP holder, there may be a movie studio or another party who also has a stake in this, for example Gigger himself, and then there is the regular publisher on top who takes a big cut. So after all that, there definitely won't be much left, let alone when you are selling at 20 euro.So unless they sell a gigantic boatload of AVP3's, they won't be able to sit back and relax I'd say.
Unless you are referring to it being an IP of either Alien and/or Predator. As HP said it was a game before the movies and a comic book long before that.
QuoteNot yet Dark, I'm waiting for my pre-order copy to arrive from amazon, and I'm trying to avoid the demo for now. I know how buggy demos can get, and don't necessary reflect the quality of the final game. It's good that is hardcore though, i guess we all had our share of dumbed down simplified and easy games.
RIght on, very good choice. My thoughts exactly simplified games. Its one of the reasons why It took me time to actually enjoy AVP for what it is.

":1wo0zcaw]PC games get pirated a lot, I'd say that rebellion really wants AvP3 to sell shitloads... In fact, i wonder if rebellion wont close for good if AvP3 fails.
Just curious HP, have you played the AVP demo yet, I am wondering your thoughts on it. Give it some time if you havent though. Its hardcore to the nutsack!

But it seems to me to be retardedly hard to play an alien with a pad, on account that you have to quickly turn all direction horizontal or vertical. Unless you're locking on with the pred shoulder gun you're fucked.
I had thought the same thing but for me it was easier to play the alien and predator with the pad as its designed for it. The marine is easy to but felt better with mouse and keyboard. But if your elite with a game pad like I am , you wouldn't care.

you could have just read my post which explained how to do everything.
I enjoyed playing it with the controller more so then mouse and keyboard. Also my 46inch tv with sound system does a better job of showcasing the game

Ok just took a spin with the 360 demo, much more fun. wtf is with me switching to console these days lol. 3 friends and myself worked more so together, trying to simulate TDM and it was a blast. I learned more about the characters, controls and special abilities which I did not seem to find during my keyboard exploration. I guess I should have checked the keymapping, well anyway, the game has a lot of potential that I think will be unlocked with other gamemodes. Learning special abilities made the game 50% better.
