It's not long before EA and Ubi stops making AAA-tiles and starts doing Candy Crush-ish. We'll probably all end up in that swamp.

That's unfortunate, but that should motivate you to keep improving the portfolio.
You guys that are employed, do you know if your companies use software to filter applications? I've read a lot of big companies (in general, not limited to IT) do filter CVs by the number of keywords matching their parameters for a given job opening.
The companies I've been too have used human's to read the applications and if the applicant weren't interesting enough, the mail would most likely get ignored.
I know myself, running my own thing and I'm getting a lot of mails from people when I look for someone, I just can't reply to every mail, if I like what I see but still might not be interested, then I answer. Sometimes it's not good replying too, have you at any moment wondered why politicians some times answers vaguely?

Don't pay attention to the misaligned textures, the BSP compiler did weird shit.

By the way, I'm curious about the amount of crap you had to go through to get it released: do you need to go through certification processes, getting it rated, etc. before you can get it on Steam or does Greenlight basically let you bypass all that? Do you need to set up an official company?
I am very much in the mindset of working on an indie game in the near future, but those are questions I've never managed to get answers to. Basically, how much of a pain is it to get it out there once you're confident it's good enough?
Thanks, and congrats on the moneys and fame and all that!
Not much at all really, once you go greenlit you get on steam more or less, you obviously need to sign contracts etc
You need an official company, most annoying part. I would rather pay someone to do all that company crap than do it myself, I'm no entrepreneur, I just wanna make game-things, not run and administer company matters - not even on the smallest scale.

It's interesting, we keep getting contacted by Japanese companies that wants to translate and move this into the Japanese market, which is seems like fun, probably something we should look into.
Should be looking more into a office too, hard to work from home now, getting less and less done every day as it feels.
Here's some keys, please share amongst your fellow core brothers/sisters/whatever. Some people probably like this game better than others, it's not Diablo, so don't expect something like that, it's repetitive, hard and much more fun in coop.

Yogscast gave us a shitload of views on the greenlight page, to bad it was already greenlit... would be nice with such a boost now again, sales would probably sky rocket.
I just added my own little mail signature, never had one before...
Please print this in any environment.
The contents of this e-mail and any attachments are not confidential and may also not be legally privileged.
Then it's like "the stack" in MTG, when I reply, I counter [another persons] signature...
Edit: Removed Sony

So, everyone wanna know sales numbers and such.
So here you have it ~22000 (steam and some pre-sales).
Gonna be released on Gamersgate and GOG too, soon.

thanks guys.
Congratulations on the release Sentura!
However, as a big fan of games like these, I must say that I'm really annoyed by the collisions in this game, if I strafe alongside a wall I keep getting stuck on small things. I know that it takes resources to make things better, but in this case, I would have putt less into normal maps and more into less auto collision made by the engine...
Yeah we're working on a patch fixing up most of these things. I've been advocating them for a while and hopefully we can get them implemented at least on the multiplayer maps and hopefully in the worst places in singleplayer.
I'm glad to hear that! I've been so spoiled this year with a release of old Duke, Shadow Warrior etc I really hope there are more to come. I really like that there are smaller teams doing it too, I would love to work with that some day. Better doing rereleases of old games than doing more boring AAA games =)
Rumor is that interceptor worked on it's own Duke before? Well, rumors =)

I don't know what it is, or what it's good for, but it sure looks awesome Simon =)

Creating the game yourself + having access to the steam settings = It's awesome, you can do anything, write anything, charge anyone!

I do agree, you pretty much waited for this to happen.
"None of us ever expected to face a day like today, especially when so much of our culture has been about growth,"
Maybe they thought about that growth too much? It's probably bad to expand to fast even if one product is ace, It's not like mojang has 6000 employees. Rovio have angrybirds, but that seems more solid than farmville.

Doing a little Heroes of Might and Magic II homage here... there will be no easy mode, just an easier mode.

I never completed HL2, for some reason it got so boring when you started to come closer to the combine HQ or whatever it was there later on. I really dig the underground facilities of Black Mesa too... sigh. All these memories.
