The Alps were a really nice environment for two reasons. One, no matter where you point you're camera you always get a nice landscape in your view. Two, all that snow casts lotsa light so you basically get to use as high f-stops as you want. I actually ran into problems when trying to get some portraits of people with low f-stops because my camera min shutter speed is 1/2000.

In mu opinion best times for landscape photography are sunrises/sets. Tho you'll need to carry a tripod around. Usually it's worth taking a trip further your own neighbourhood. Atleast I find nothing to photograph here, not even reference photos for texturing.

These are pics from my one week skiing trip to Madonna di Campiglio in Italy. I was lucky because most of the days were sunny that fits quite well for this kind of landscape photography, and of course it's more fun to ski on sunny days

Thanks guys, I appreciate all your comments. I'm spending the next week in Italy so I hope I'll be able to shoot some cool scenery of the Alps there.

well we finally got winter in southern parts of Finland too. The morning of the day I took these was just awesome it's shame I didn't have camera with me. Red gloomy sky with frozen snow on trees, wow. So I had to go check out the dusk and got out with these shots.

Yeah the first one looks like it was shot in a space shuttle

Just for practise it's my first weapon.

And it doesn't have too much optimization since it's not meant to be

in a game. I'd say it has some 1000 polys (in tris i thing it goes beyond 2000)

Yea people interpret things differently. I was more sorta expecting comments

Hmm it's just so typical that whenever pics are attached some people just look at the pics without noticing what the text says.

Training some weapon modellin mainly for the texturing purpose.

Anyway got the model somewhat finished up. It's not perfect I know but

as I just mentioned I wanna get to the texturing part.

teh idea was that the virus there is an electric copy protecting mechanism

so as the new law takes place it's illegal to delete it unless you delete the original piece

neither the anti-virus programs are allowed to delete it

rip your self a piece of humour of that this is our new copy protection law

my virus is just as legal as most of the copy protection tools these days
