They use a slightly altered cyrillic alphabet and different words, some of it is the same or similar to Russian, a lot of Russians who live closer in proximity to the Russian federation border speak Russian too, especially in the Eastern region.

What specs? It's like a linear S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the gameplay is closer to Medal Of Honour than the aforementioned. It's very good and at £5 it's a bargain!

Why do games have to be open world to be good nowadays? I find open world games boring, I've played Fallout 3 in moderation and I just wanted to stop and play something else, GTA games are dull apart from Vice City.. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is the only open world game I've enjoyed.
Metro 2033 was a heavily story-orientated experience, it had a beginning, a middle and an end.. making the sequel open-world would distract from that. Sure, they could have more areas to explore but still keep it linear.
Anyway, thread's about Batman..not Eastern European RPGS, I only made one little comment in relation to someone else's view of the game, wasn't meant to lead to a discussion

Metro 2033 follows the book pretty well, it's not exact no but the narrative is there and anyway an open world Metro game would undoubtedly be compared to .S.T.A.L.K.E.R... it annoys me at the amount of people on sites like moddb that draw comparisons of anything Eastern European with an ak-47 in it is like that game, but if Metro did go open world then it would play pretty much the same deal.. just with added metro tunnels.
