Funny, I never knew that you could fire from the hip at those things and Drake automatically targets them... so much easier this time around, cheers Helder!

The sequel is miles more prettier than it's predecessor by far, Japan and India look fantastic! There's also more depth to the stealth mechanics and player statistics which is nice.

My copy came yesterday, still got to finish 2 again before I endulge... damn, I love the fuck out of the train ride!

Without any spoilers, how long is the campaign compared to the first two? Several sites have criticised it for being a lot shorter than the previous titles...

Los Santooooos! From San Andreas. Does this mean the whole state or just the city and surrounding environment? We've seen the mountains, crop fields, and some desert from SA in the trailer.

I would say it's probably LS and some of the surrounding area... I doubt San Fierro and Las Ventarus will make an appearance or else we'd have seen it in the teaser.. I could be wrong of course.

The main villain, Katherine Marlowe, is, hands down, the best in the series. (Her terrifying, mysterious cohort, Talbot, is not too shabby, either.) There is a conversation about halfway through the game between Nathan and Katherine that is easily the best written (and acted!) dialogue in all three Uncharted games.Fortunately, the game is full of moments like this: sharply written, superbly acted sequences that really expose each character and take the series to a whole new emotional level.

But as great as the story and characters are in the game, let's be honest, the main focus of the Uncharted games is the action. With Uncharted 2, the bar was set ridiculously high for what can be done in a videogame. When I was going into Uncharted 3, my main concern was whether the game could raise the bar even higher.

I can't believe I am typing this, but Uncharted 3 manages the impossible. It is an even bigger thrill ride than both the previous games combined.

    Pretty much, lol.

I just played the Jet mission during lunch time, and omfg! There's like 1% gameplay only where all you need to do is press X for flares and LMB for missiles but it's such a well scripted scene It's like watching a next gen version of top gun! It was fucking badass!

How's the single-player then? Is it just like MW2's shooting galleries with cinematics or have they tried to be more original?

    Yes!

The conversations in the game between enemies are loltastic, like one where one german guy is talking about moving into a new house and decorating the bedroom.. I almost feel bad when I put a bullet between their eyes

    The bit in the

Such a loooong game as well, it literally lasted me over 2 weeks first time I played.

NOLF2 is pretty good as well, graphically massively more pretty looking... India looks phenominal. Most memorable part was

The second part of the game is a lot more interesting than the first

I have to agree... the first part has it's moments like exploring the ruins with Sully, the dance with death over the rocked waterfall where you shoot the jeep to help you cross a large gap... but once you get to the fortress it gets really boring because nothing much happens and you don't know what's going on. I stopped playing there for a few months and went back to it and I found once I'd gotten out of there it improved a lot.

    Quote from 3Dnj

    there is no stealth kill

Sure there is, get behind an enemy and tap square to execute them quietly...

    Quote from 3Dnj

too many waves of bad guy in the same place.

Keeps you on your toes, better than fighting 3 guys per area... be even more boring in the Fortress right?

    Quote from 3Dnj

Like the first scene on the boat, it's ridiculous, long, boring and difficult over that when you just start the game. And the river with all those barrel (what the fuck are they doing here )

That's easy! You just take it slowly, blow all the barrels up first then go steadily into any new area (use the cover of the lower building on the left) and note where enemy positions are, hit circle to go backwards and then advance through taking out the enemies quickly.. if you get damaged too much, retreat back to cover wait for the colour again and then onwards!

...and the barrels actually being in the water... yeah but then why are there explosive barrels situated next to enemies in about 85% of games? (hello F.E.A.R., HL2, Max Payne, Soldier Of Fortune etc...) Lazy game design

In all honesty I could have counted about 3 really big fat American girls in California when I was there, the girls look after themselves way more compared to some of the other states, it's a very keep-fit attitude in CA. Some of the girls were stunning, really...but they talk too much for my tastes... "Ohhhmygod" "O really..?!" "Like totally..." *twitches*

Isn't the organised crime in GTA4 carried out by immigrants from the former Yugoslavia like Niko, not Russia?

No, Niko and his brother Roman are two immigrants caught up in a web of all sorts of bastards including the Italian mafia, Irish mobs, black gangbangers, and — primarily — the Russian mafia.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ch ... i_Rascalov

Bet this game just got 10x more appealing to D3.

Ahhh ok then, I don't know enough about the storyline to say otherwise, although Niko Belić is definately not Russian, despite us believing so when the game was first announced.

GTA games are love-hate for me...

GTA3 was awesome because it was what everyone had wanted for a long time... a fully 3D explorable world... with cars to steal and smash up and people to shoot.

Vice City's atmosphere knocked the standards up, heavy 80's atmosphere leaning to Scarface was a great setup, you could go inside buildings and there were fucking motorbikes finally! More a-list actors too gave the acting more meat.

San Andreas was/is just tedious... I cringed at all the f-bombs and the constant use of the "n word".. I've only gotten to San Fierro and I gave up because it was just bad. I had more fun just driving the ambulances and taxis around... but I could do that in the first two.

GTA4.. Never had much of a desire to play it, I'm sure I would like a lot of it but then I know I would also hate a lot of it too.

Maybe GTAV will change my opinion of it, but I doubt it...

Hey guys, my email got hacked, I've no idea how it happened but suffice to say a lot of people got some random stuff. Over the years I've had added loads of emails contacts so I can't remember who's emails from here I have and I need to go through sometime but if you got anything off of me that looked like it didn't belong I'm sure you would have put two and two together and realised I'd been compromised. I've changed my password and security settings now so I should be ok.
