OH MY GOD AMERICA AND RUSSIA HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!!!

..this isn't news, the hysteria isn't based on any situation that hasn't been the case during and after the Cold War. As usual MSM (especially the Washington Times, which is essentially hyperbole clickbait since the election) have taken an angle on this to make it sound as terrible as possible. Here's the thing you might miss if you're not paying attention...

    It's actually an anti-proliferation message.

    Quote

Quote The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes.

In other words, until the whole world realises what should be common sense that nuclear weapons are a bad thing and that they should be scrapped, the US must strengthen it's arsenal just as Russia and other countries continue to do so. This makes sense given that much of the nuclear arsenal that the US has is aging, same with Russia. I agree with anyone that nuclear weapons are horrific and I'm all for them being scrapped but it will only happen when the whole world gets together to do it. People in this country like Corbyn want to get rid of our nuclear capabilities, but it's absolutely crazy to do so when a rogue state like North Korea is seeking to construct ICBMs...

As for that video about how Trump is going to take over the media, it's not quite as idiotic as "2017 New Years Resolutions for White Guys" but it's close..

Btw.. for all this bs surrounding "fake news", this article is an eye opener:

    http://nypost.com/2016/12/22/the…-get-denounced/

We had the same crap following brexit, claims that hate crimes were on the rise. Only "hate crimes" can literally be someone reporting being offended by something Farage said on the television, or what people said in a conversation on the street. So whilst hate crimes obviously do exist, the data is skewed and some of it never even happened.

Hmmm.. I'd take that site with salt, it's run by ex-Clinton campaign staffer Matt Ortega who couldn't possibly have an agenda, no doubt he's had some generous donations from the likes of George Soros at some point...

In terms of Tillerson, I don't know much about the guy but he's an oil giant who's claimed he's out to make money in everything he does. It might surprise people here to hear this from me (or not) but whilst I'm all for having good relations for Russia and ending the standoff situation that exists currently... appointing a guy who received a medal of friendship from Putin is probably a step too far...

I still need to play the first one properly, I've played several hours of it at friend's houses though.

    True story, I actually bought the game twice without being able to play;

First time, I ordered the game from Amazon and it came without a disc! So I sent it back and got a refund because they were out of stock. I then got it from a store only to find the disc did not work and it froze on loading!! Then the PS4 came out so I took it back and I figured I'd wait till I got one sometime in the future before playing again, because by then the sequel would probably be coming out... what would you know...

Oh come on.. Tsai congratulated him on winning the election, he congratulated her back.. not much to it. China continues to build articificial militarised islands in the South China sea claiming it's all theirs, the US sails through telling China "international waters" and China moans and complains but that's about it. I expect no less here, if they were going to be really hardline with the US over the situation they wouldn't tolerate any arms sales to Taiwan...

Meanwhile.. the DNC are still in Lala Land...

Hahaha, Jill is laughing all the way to the bank!

It looks like she's basically getting funding together for her next campaign! Her site has supposed volunteer names for the state recounts in each county listed, many names are obviously just trolls such as "Sit on my face" "Mickey Mouse" "Vladimir Putin" "Hillary for Prison"

Anyhow, Hillary's lawyers have apparently endorsed recounts in the 3 states Stein proposed. However, in order to somehow become president she has to pretty much win all the states, which is possible but very very unlikely if you look at the figures. Michigan has already done another recount and Trump's lead narrowed from 13,107 to 10,704 votes ahead, but he still carries the state. In pennsylvania he is currently ahead by 70,000 votes, in Wisconsin it's 22,000 votes. Unless all those votes are somehow invalidated, she still can't win...

Here we fucking go again! Basically a group of "academics and activists" who are totally not all Clinton supporters are claiming that there is a possiblity that a foreign power like Russia could have hacked the election computer systems, however they admit it is literally a "suspicion" and there is no actual proof available (what a surprise..). Of course now the DNC are going to be saying that once again, Russia is behind their election defeat instead of facing the reality that they lost because Hillary was just shit. Even James Clapper the former director of National Intelligence who resigned the other day said "intelligence agencies don't have good insight on when or how Wikileaks obtained the hacked emails" ! Nevertheless, Jill Stein is now attempting to raise funds from a crowdfunding page to recount the votes for PA, MI and WI because by default the results can only be contested if the margin in the elecoral college for each state is small (less than 0.5%).

Can I just remind everyone that the DNC rigged the primaries against Bernie to make sure that Hillary would be the nominee, now they want a recount because it *might" have been rigged? You can't make this stuff up!

I'm sorry you feel that way blackdog, but talking about stopping illegal immigration is not the same as wanting to sink the boats of refugees and migrants, that's what I mean, obviously I condemn such thinking which is absolutely blatently racist!

    Vorontsov: Yes, that's correct..

Jetsetlemming: Yeah as I said, it's badly thought out, obviously NAFTA is one of the things that Trump went on about to death during the campaign. It's hard to see how it can be dealth with and how the South American countries can be fixed, El Salvador and Honduras are especially notrious for being two of the most problematic hispanic countries with people fleeing daily violence but they've long been like that.

Anyway, I think that this outcome although not the best means that we can have a discussion about this and the problems of the liberal left vs others, If Hillary had won, we wouldn't be having any real discussion about it. Democrats need to stop giving labels to everyone who doesn't agree with them, actual racists don't care if you call them racist whereas those that aren't become offended and distance themselves from anyone labelling them as such creating a greater divide. The DNC was asleep at the wheel, comfortable with their thoughts that the Republican party would never get back into the White house and become a party that holds limited power in mostly the Southern States.. big mistake.

I'm hearing news about certain people sending death threats to State governors if they don't vote for Hillary in the Electoral College vote, they're increasing now that Clinton has reached a 2 million margin in the popular vote, not helpful in the slightest...

No that's not what he said, read the article:

    Quote

Quote 6. What about Trump’s “drugs and crime” speech about Mexicans?

    Trump said that:

When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. Note how totally non-racist this statement is. I’m serious. It’s anti-illegal-immigrant. But in terms of race, it’s saying Latinos (like every race) include both good and bad people, and the bad people are the ones coming over here. It suggests a picture of Mexicans as including some of the best people – but those generally aren’t the ones who are coming illegally.

He's not talking about every Mexican, he's talking about the illegals that come over the border, emphasis on "illegal" immigrants, a lot of them bring crime with them but it is likely that in amongst those coming in are decent people who just want a better life. He could have worded it better, but when put into context, it isn't as bad as it sounds and that's probably why Hispanic/Latino votes jumped up so much. I must admit that I saw this in the media and took it as it was without actually doing my own fact checking on it, as many many other people and that's why the media narrative was so skewed!

For everyone who's head is still spinning in the aftermath of all this, still struggling to make sense of what just happened, look no further than this article:

    http://slatestarcodex.com/2016/11/16/you…ll-crying-wolf/

It long but worth it, it explains everything in detail from the media's bias in articles to putting Trump's controversial statements within the context of the original speeches made. It highlights how easy it is to produce propaganda if you just take a statement without providing the background behind it like his comments about Mexicans. It shows that Trump never said anything bad about black people or LGBT rights despite what whiney liberals have said. Just the facts people...

There are now three states left to be counted, Clinton will take New Hampshire and Trump is going to take Arizona and Michigan which opens up the possibility that he could win the popular vote as well as the Electoral College, some people are already saying he has but I can't find any actual sources (it's irrelevant anyway as the EC wins the presidency). I'm looking at the exit polls voter stats from the New York Times:

    http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/20…exit-polls.html

Contradictory to the claims that "whites" tipped the balance, it looks as if white voters were actually only up 1% for Republicans from 2012! Black voters were mostly in the Democrat sphere as would be expected but Black votes for GOP were up by 7%! Hispanic/latinos voting for Republican were up by 8% and take a look at all the Asian voters.. up by 11%! Female voters is even more interesting, women voting for Clinton were only up by a mere 1% next to 2012!! 42% of women voters went for Trump! By religion, others apart from Christians, Catholics and Jews were up 18% for GOP, of which there will absolutely be muslims in there! So it just shows that as you would expect, the voter demographics are are far more complicated like most elections than painting it as just "1, 2 or 3".

Well that was.. unexpected. Since the thread is probably on the way to locksville, I'll quickly get my analysis in.

It just goes to show that polls aren't worth shit anymore, the data collection is just so seriously flawed to the point where it's embarrasing, even more so when you consider that the media and politicial elite have been so close to the democrats and Hillary in general that the bias has been obvious from miles off. With all this and the backing of her closest allies, especially all the money George Soros has poured into her campaign, she should have won by a consideral amount, a tight victory perhaps but a victory none the less. Instead, we have barely much of a difference from 2012, it's just that the Republicans sealed the deal. It's clear that the Democrats strategy to push Bernie out in favour of Clinton has backfired on them massively, they underestimated just how much Sanders voters disliked her, so much so that lots of them voted for a third party.

Trump's message to get out and vote for change resonated with all the long disillusioned people in the poor rural areas that have been systematically brushed aside and largely forgotten about by much of the Political system. Those in the old coal mining towns that have seen themselves laid off consistently whilst their jobs go overseas to places like China. This wasn't so much an endorsment for Trump as it was a giant fuck you to the establishment, which throughout this campaign has dismissed Donald supporters as stupid, racist and not worth anyone's time, saying if you don't vote for Hillary you hate women and that has clearly driven many to vote the other way. The biggest shock was Florida, the media barrage was saying over and over again that the turnout for hispanics was unprecedented and that they were coming out to vote for Hillary, even at the time I wasn't convinced of that and it seems that skepticism was well warranted.

So now what? Well It's going to be an interesting 4 years, I believe that he is going to tone his rhetoric right down, he pretty much has to now. He's going to have a tough time trying to achieve building the wall, banning muslims and other rediculous things without serious opposition in Congress (from the Democrats AND the Republicans), measures are in place to stop any kind of "dictatorship" forming so the Hitler analogies are just hyperbole. It's far too early to tell at this stage just what he will actually achieve, but since he a businessman rather than a career politician, unlike the latter who often make pledges that they don't keep, he might actually make progress in at least attempting to do some of the less radical, sensible things he wanted to do. I'll tell you one thing though, for all of those worried that Trump will start a Nuclear war, you need to realise that Hillary was the one openly pushing for a NFZ over Syria, which would mean shooting down Russian jets and inevitably put the US (and the rest of the world) onto a course for catastrophe. Trump is not interested in conflict with Moscow and actually could mend the tensions that exist between the two superpowers. This is because unlike a lot of the US establishment, he understands that they crossed a red line when America interfered in the political situation in Ukraine which was thanks to the bankrolling of opposition to Yanukovich by the likes of Hillary's best friend, George Soros again, who also stirred the pot during the Orange Revolution in '04.

So.. it's done, let's just wait and see what happens and if he's so much of an absolute disaster as people think, then either he's voted out in 2020 or if he really fucks up, he can be impeached and thrown out of office, no one is above the law.*

*except Hillary who has pretty much broken Federal law and endangered National Security..

I'll admit my opinion of Trump has softened over the months though, but I still think they're both as bad as each other for very different reasons. It's just sad that out of some 300 million people, they are the two candidates that people seem to want, if Bernie had got the democrat nomination, things could have been so much different...

Anyway... my prediction: Hilary wins but it's a close run and whilst the media will paint it as the American people voted for the first female president, the reality will be that she only won because she isn't Donald Trump.
