...aaand I finally gave There Will Be Blood another chance, it got more interesting but I still don't know what the point of the film was, why was Plainview such a complete arsehole and have no problems with
killing two people for no real reason
. I did like the "milkshake" bit though and Daniel Day Lewis was very good in the lead role.

Why the Hell would Sarah just shoot the guy in cold blood? Yeah sure he confessed as much to killing the girl but just killing him was beyond even Lund's moral boundaries and ultimately, the concequences were not worth it...

Been a bit behind on The Walking Dead, just watched the last two episodes...
Is that it?!! The storyline really dragged on painfully in the last 8 episodes but I thought it would at least end in the governor getting his comeuppance... but no, he just walks away and that's it... and when Season 4 comes along and an "unknown enemy" attacks the group, there wont be any suspense because we'll know exactly who it is!
Meryl zombie was awesome though.
I like Doom 3, as I've said before it was exactly the game ID wanted to make and they did it well. Enemy encounters were repetitive like they were in Doom where if you found some kind of pickup, usually a wall would open up to reveal some imps or zombie soldiers. The reinvisioning of the demons was spot-on (although I wasn't too impressed with the Cyberdemon) and I nearly shit myself when I first encountered the Hell Knight...
Also "dem graphics" game was and still is for the most part extremely beautiful...

There Will Be Blood - I don't know how this possibly won so many awards, I turned it off after an hour and thirty minutes, it's like watching paint dry, it has got to be the most boring film I've ever come across! I don't think I have the patience/will to watch anymore unless anyone can convince me the rest of the film is any better...
They still haven't re-released the Star Wars DVDs yet, seriously it's been months since you could buy them

Incoming D3 rant inbound!
First thing's first, the game looks stunning, the graphical detail is extremely high and looks almost real at times.
With that out of the way, Secondly; I was bored watching the gameplay...
Honestly, how much actual effort is required of the player these days? Shoot some bad guys, scene changes and then press E to cut someone's leg off (I'm no expert but surely it takes more than one single slice of a combat knife to take off a limb?). Yes it's all very well done and a lot of "cool stuff" happens but it's the same old as BF3/COD only it's got a brand new more sparkly lick of paint (and if it's anything like BF3's campaign or Warfighter you can shove it because those campaigns are diabolically bad). A single shot from a grenade launcher takes out an Mi-28 gunship... seriously?! I don't expect such a title to be realistic but cmon that's taking the piss...
Maybe it's just me but I expect to you know, actually a play a game rather than sit through a cinematic, semi-interactive movie? If I wanted that experience, I'd play Heavy Rain.
