As for favouring Christians over other refugees from those countries.. why not? Christianity in the Middle East is on the verge of extinction, millions have been killed or forced to flee because of constant persecution from.. muslims. There's no point in being politically correct about it, it is what is, same goes for Jews since the Arab Israeli war. Sometime in the second half of this century, muslims will outnumber Christians around the world and their persecution in the places where Christianity began will only worsen.

What people need to take into account is not only the ones that suceeded but those that were foiled. As you can see on the list, there are a lot that were uncovered and dismantled before they occured and the number of plots has increased dramatically in the time that Daesh established their so called caliphate. Now of course we all know more people are killed by guns in the US than terrorism but that's another discussion entirely. What you also have to take into account is just because refugees don't carry out attacks it doesn't mean their hands are clean, how many people coming in from the problem countries are grooming and radicalising those homegrown US muslims to carry out attacks on their behalf? You also have intergration problems, take into account that many muslims have not lived with jews in their home countries for many many years if at all because of aforementioned circumstances and anti-semitism is a major issue in Arab states. Btw, the only attack carried out by refugees in the US was the Boston Marathon bombing, which might have been prevented had the FBI taken notice and acted on the intel that "Enemy numero #1" Russia had warned them about. Just something to think about.

Now look.. I don't profess to have all the answers, I don't know if the immigration order is a good or bad thing but I can tell you that by starting to recognise the problem for what it is is a good start.. ie Islamic terrorism is a thing and there are significant issues with the islamic faith that simply do not occur with other religions. The majority of muslims are I'm sure perfectly good and peaceful people but when they inact violence it should be called out for what it is.. a muslim who commits terrorism is a muslim, a muslim who kills someone for insulting the Qaran is a muslim, a muslim who murders someone because they drew a picture of the prophet is a muslim. During the troubles in Northern Ireland, no one went out of their way to say the "PIRA are not catholics" so what is with the apologists for the islamist extremists? Islamic terrorists have carried out approximately 30,000 terrorist attacks globally since 9/11... Non-islamic terrorism does not even scratch that figure...

Since we're discussing Ukraine for a brief period, I wont go into too much detail but It's the Ukrainian forces who started the latest round of fighting. They've been mounting a "creeping offensive" since December, advancing from Government controlled Avdiivka into and taking territory which is meant to be unclaimed by either side under the Minsk agreement. The final straw was when they advanced on rebel positions close to Mariivka (which is under DNR control according to Minsk) which resulted in a counter-attack by seperatist forces. Poroshenko must be shitting himself, he's got a 13% approval rating, politicians are robbing the country dry again and the only thing that's stopping another Euromaidan is the Donbass war, Kiev is the only one who benefits from an escalation in the conflict when Putin is looking to have the sanctions regime lifted and rebuild ties with the US. Funnily enough, since Trump spoke to Poroshenko yesterday, the fighting has stopped...

Why are other countries not on the list? Same answer for your other question, only those that are already on the list of countries of concern are included. If we look at the list we can determine the most likely reasons why they are there:

Syria - Ongoing civil war, major threat of terrorism from ISIS and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham

Iraq - Major threat of terrorism from ISIS

Libya - Tribal warfare and civil conflict, major threat of terrorism from ISIS

Sudan - Not entirely clear...

Somalia - Major threat of terrorism from al-Shabab

Yemen - Ongoing civil war and terrorism from ISIS and AQAP

Saudi Arabia is a US ally, you wont see them on such a list because of that, plus people like Mccain and Graham would have a fit about it. It is a coincidence. He hasn't excluded anything! They were never there in that bill in the first place! If anyone is saying that, it's a blatent lie. The wall isn't so much an actual physical wall as a metaphor for tighter border security, there are parts which have a high fence reinforced with border guards, there are parts that just have a measly low fence anyone can get through and there are parts that have absolutely nothing at all. I've seen various documentaries about the situation, it's telling that pretty much all the border security guards are pro-Trump and that Mexican Americans that live next to the border are in favour of stopping people crossing over undocumented. You'll find those against such action are those who live miles from the border, who have probably never even seen it, the experience and viewpoint of the US immigration centre between someone in Arizona and Washington is vastly different.

When I said " I'm not an environmentalist ", I don't mean I don't care about it, of course I do, who doesn't want the environment to thrive and be healthy? I just don't really read into it, I stick with what I know or what interests me in geography, politics, history etc I leave the arguments about Global Warming/Climate Change to those with that knowledge. Trump wants to protect people's jobs in Coal Mining and help bring some of them back to areas where people are struggling, is that such a bad thing? In contrast, Clinton would rather just let people continue to lose their jobs and she's even been caught laughing about it! As Voronts said, in four years the Trump administration's opinions on Climate change can change. Btw, they didn't remove anything from the White house page, Obama's policies simply moved to 'obamawhitehouse.gov' in the immediate aftermath of Inauguration Day.

The fact that Clinton won the popular vote is irrelevant, I'm sorry but it is because that isn't how the president is elected. The USA is not a democracy, it is a constitutional Republic and the founders of said constitution produced the Electoral College as a way to ensure that all the states got a fair representation across the whole of the country. If the president was elected by popular vote, two things would happen:

a) The campaigning would be completely different.

b) The most populated Metropolitan areas would decide who was the president every time and impose their will over the rest of America. See this:

Half of the population of the US lives in the blue areas, the grey counties would be completely forgotten! California and New York would elect a Democrat president every time!

The Electoral College is not a perfect system but it stops mob rule based on the above. If people really have so much of a problem with it, they can put forward ideas for a debate on constitutional amendment in Congress.

Btw.. Impeachment is a process in the US, a president can be impeached and still be president whilst the case is handled. Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998 and acquitted 2 months later. The president can only be impeached if they do something criminal in breach of the constitution whilst in office, anything prior to that cannot be used as a case against him.

As for Climate change, I'm not an environmentalist so I'm not going to comment on it much but it seems clear that China is the world's biggest polluter contributing some 30% of CO₂ emissions in the world, whereas the US is about 14%. Compare images of American cities from the 70s to now, there is much less pollution, the skylines are much clearer whereas China has pretty much always been a smoggy mess. I'm sure that the Trump administration will get on board somewhat with the Climate change deal in time but they will be looking at China to pull significant weight because they are the main issue.

If we stop being so self-important and actually listened to those with opposing views and understand that they are people as well and their opinion matters just as much as yours, and if you are willing to listen to what they have to say they might be willing to listen to what you have to say.

The only way to grow as a person is to step outside of your comfort zone to attempt to learn something new. Running and hiding in your safe space and surrounding yourself with people who believe exactly the same way as you do is a good way to divide everyone instead of coming together and growing as individuals and as a society.

You don't publicly state that you're to reduce your nuclear capabilities in response to a rival state declaring they will increase theirs, that's just idiocy. Nuclear weapons exist as a deterrent because MAD is guaranteed, the rational powers understand that mounting any kind of war against each other will lead to complete destruction of the world and thus no one is insane enough to challenge that. Still in order to maintain that doctrine, you have to actually possess those capabilities. in an age where the nuclear stockpile of the two superpowers has aged and many are fast becoming unfit for purpose, it makes sense to take steps to strengthen and replace munions since "expanding nuclear capability" doesn't necessarily mean increasing numbers, rather replacing old weapons and updating current systems to be more efficient.

Remember, the atom bomb prevented millions of lives being lost in the Pacific campaign of WWII, the Cold war remained cold because both sides were terrified of the prospect of any kind of hot war, nuclear weapons have contributed greatly to world peace. The greatest issue now is that whilst in the past those with nuclear capabilities understood the point was to prevent war, some of the actors with nuclear weapons today aren't nearly as rational and might not have any issues with setting the world on fire...
