    Christian Bale is a great actor, I think he'll work well as John Conner, certainly better than the last choice of actor! Tell me who else doesn't want to see a Terminator movie set in the future war? It doesn't matter if it's shit, just so long as there's lots of Endoskeletons being blown to bits Seriously though, I reckon that Arnie has got to make at least a cameo appearance, they can't keep him out completely!

    I don't really need a full upgrade yet imho, just a newer graphics card and some extra ram, I've found loads of 6800 cards on ebay for next to nothing:

    I'm really not going to grumble with paying £8-16 for a newer graphics card, with that I can run D3/Q4 and F.E.A.R. on max settings and HL2, which will enable me to edit Source if I decide to bite the bullet Can even run newer games with that, just on lower settings which doesn't bother me too much.

    I had a new job for the space of a fucking week in telesales, didn't like it much but I did my best till they let me go, saying they needed more experienced people. Sent me a letter asking me back recently, though on the same terms as before... fuck off you amateur cowboy cunts! Made a proper portolio of my work

    Personally

    Got attacked after a night out, nearly blinded in the process, self-esteem is slowly building back up and I'm still going out with friends on a regular basis. Nearly had a heart-attack when I found out Hannah had a near-fatal accident in the UAE where she nearly bled to death from falling through a glass pane. Ended up falling out with her completely, it was always going to happen but the way it ended up was not the way I thought, alas we will probably never speak to each other for a long time, partly my fault but some of it is down to her too. To say I'm upset is an understatement, especially considering I nearly lost her forever

    Get a fucking job somewhere, so I can start living properly, take no shit from stupid employers who piss me about and always follow up. Possibly think about going abroad somewhere for a few months, not sure yet.

    Personally

    Just.. be happy, gain more friends and maybe just maybe fall in love with someone who likes me back.

  • What to do.. what to do!!!

    OK, so this is perhaps a stupid question but bare with me..

    As it's Christmas and my birthday in quick succession, it's time to think about what I want to do with the computer. I currently have a medium spec machine (3.2GHZ, 1GB RAM) but still a piddly GF4 Ti 4200. I'd love to get a shiney new 8800GTS but it only fits into a PCI-Express slot and I only have an AGP slot (I'm seriously wanting to kill the person who made my machine for not suggesting PCI-Express when he knew I wanted an up-to-date spec) so my choices are get a lower end card like a 6800 which wont be as good as the former but it'll be a massive upgrade from the Ti and will only cost around £30 whereas higher cards for the AGP port are still quite expensive. Otherwise I just go for a full upgrade...

    Really, I don't want get a new machine just yet, I was going to wait till near the end of next year when (hopefully!) I am working and have plenty of money to do a proper upgrade. I like my computer as it is, I've got a shitload of non-game programs I use on a regular basis and reinstalling them all would take weeks (finding them on backups).

    With computers going out of date in a matter of months these days, what sort of machine would I need to get upto standard? If I waited till next year would there be more powerful setups availiable?

    It'd be a huge missed opportunity if Valve don't incorperate portal into HL2:E3, having said that they'd have to carefully think about how and when Gordon can actually use it.

  • Half-Life: Paranoia

    Not really, more to do with the fact that it uses content from other games, it wouldn't be such a good idea for Valve to plug a mod like that.

    Also it copies a 'opengl32.dll' into your Half-Life folder which is needed to run the new features, VAC detects this as a hack and bans you. Removing the file gets around this, but not everyone is in the know-how about such things...

    That looks fantastic! It looks more like plaster though, with the way it's broken up.
